We visited El Norteno and were quickly seated in their lovely outdoor back garden. The hostess took our drink order and not realizing they served beer we ordered soda and tea, several minutes later our actual server came out carrying beers for another table which peaked our interest. When she came to our table asking if we were ready to order we asked if we could have beer instead of our original order. "No problem..." She then took our order and we waited patiently for our meals and beers. Our glass of water quickly went down as we enjoyed an order of guacamole with chips and a small (6ounce container) of good salsa. Once the chips were gone we eagerly awaited our entrees and... Our beers. After TWENTY minutes, our patience grew to concern. After 25 minutes, our concern grew to irritation. After 30 minutes without seeing ore server (any server for that matter, she was the only one working serving 7 to 10 tables) or irritation turned into THIRST... Water..? Please..? We ended up leaving before the meal was served and offered to pay for the guacamole. We never saw the beers and are imagining them driving somewhere in the great Midwest, having escaped the restaurant... Needless to say NOT returning.
