We had to return to this delightful corner restaurant. The menu has great choices of seafood & meats. We adored the grilled octopus & even ordered extra to bring home. The Paella Sevillana , was beautifully seasoned. The lamb cutlets were very tender & thoroughly enjoyed by all. The dishes are portioned for sharing. This restaurant is as close as you can get to really being in Spain. The service is impeccable, thanks to all for a great experience! Fernando, our waiter, offers a friendly & professional touch that is very much appreciated. Will definitely return soon.

Went with another couple and shared eight plates. The tomatos were outstanding as were the octopus, potatoes bravas, cauliflower, and the dates. Calamari and others were very good. Very consistent. Very good flavors. Several beautiful platings. Very good service. Very fast delivery of food. Some of the best tapas I have had outside of Spain.

Tasty tapas dishes with a great variety. Very accommodating and helpful staff, food comes out quickly.Pretty small place so not the best choice for a big group( >4) outdoor seating available-weather permitting.Their 2 seabass dishes were the definite stand-outs for me.
Wine only.
Cost: most dishes are <US$15
Parking: street parking, tricky on weekends

Rincon 38 has a tremendous variety of Spanish tapas. Highly recommended tapas include the borrego (rack of lamb with brussel sprouts and potatoes), vieras (scallops served with spinach and asparagus), and the malaga (a creative combination of octopus, chorizo, and white asparagus - an explosion of flavors.)

The sangria was very tasty, and the churros for dessert were terrific. Very attentive service, with food coming out quickly.

Rincon 38 also has outdoor seating. Reservations are highly recommended since the place is very popular.

This is my third visit to Rincon 38 in four years. It gets better and better. It was wonderful that at such a high quality restaurant we were able to get a dinner reservation the same day. They were at the top of their form tonight. A number of the tapas were old favourites. One I had not tried before was the star of the meal. Brussels sprouts and asparagus with a truffle cream sauce and shaved fennel. This combination of flavours was unexpected and I intend to pinch it for a pasta dish. It was stunning. Patatas bravas, which in most tapas places is a rather bland affair was certainly not that here. Smoked paprika, some chorizo (available on the side for vegetarians), shaved fennel over the top and a little spice. Bravas indeed. Everything else was excellent.

The last time I was there the desserts did not impress. This time more than made up for it. Three of us shared churros with ganache and cinnamon ice cream and a citrus flan with fresh raspberries. The flan was not lovely eggy and otherwise delicious. The churros were the best I have ever had by a very long shot. Mary Berry of the Great British Baking Show would have rhapsodised using the words, "absolutely scrumptious!" They were crispy on the outside, soft and delicate on the inside and absolutely fresh from the fryer at the right temperature. The frying oil was hot enough so that they were not the least bit greasy. The ice cream was made with very high quality cinnamon so it didn't need to be too much cinnamon as is often the case. In short, they were perfect. Even the decaf espresso was exceptionally for an American restaurant. Before the dessert arrived I was already feeling the inner smile of food made with joy and with love, necessary for a 5 star review..

The service was friendly and prompt. It is a small place and gets crowded at peak dining times so I would recommend an early dinner for the sake of conversation. The one suggestion I would make for those who don't drink alcohol is to stock a good kombucha or a snappy, not overly sweet house made ginger beer. The meal ran us about $40 per person without tip and was worth every nickel. I will most certainly be back.
