We are always pleased with the wonderful menu (updated often, usually to feature seasonal delights) at The Winds, the nice wine & beer offerings, and the relaxing "Rat Pack"-style of the beautiful dining room lined with comfortable leather horseshoe-shaped booths around an enormous double-sided fireplace.
What brings us back, time after time, is the waitstaff. They are all seasoned professionals, but one is our absolute favorite. Joshua has been our requested waiter since we first dined at The Winds years ago. He is not only an exemplary waiter - professional yet personable - but also charming, funny, and has a remarkable memory for his patrons' names, preferred dishes, preparation preferences, and his recommendations are always focused on our tastes. Joshua embodies the many attributes that all restaurants should seek in staffing their businesses.
Kudos to The Winds for always providing a memorable dinner, but especially for Joshua, who makes the trip from The Cities worth the drive.
