This hotel is very basic which is not the problem. When you book this hotel they don't tell you that most of the rooms are upstairs and there is no elevator! And the desk clerk was totally unwilling to try to fix the situation! My mother has two knee replacements and is 82 years old but she should totally do the stairs. There was another woman who needed a walker but had to be placed in a upstairs room.

Room Tip: Tell them you need a first floor room when booking or they won't help you at all!

A good basic motel close to Miller Hill Mall, at a reasonable price. However, it was very hard to find, with no entry sign - we could see the building but couldn't find the entrance - went round the block and ended up driving through a car dealership to finally get in - front desk wasn't interested when I told them. Room was fine with a comfortable bed. There was free Wifi, and a good complimentary breakfast.

I stayed at this motel on November 1 and second of 2014 driving up I'm kind of the backside of the motel it doesn't look very neat as far as the parking lot area goes because they've wrecked a number of buildings around it but you walk inside the motel checking in at the front desk can you see that is been modernized nice looking ones got inside room is beautiful everything was all new fresh carpeting bedspreads painting on the wall very nice quarters. The thing that I disliked about the room was the same thing that happens at most hotels it's a TV Guide is laying on the nightstand is never the same as the channels on the TV so you have to discount the whole TV out to find the movie channel or the local news channel after dinner went and use the hot tub beautiful temperature perfect place to sit and relax in and then hop in the pool to cool your pores after the spa I have no complaints about the motel at allI am sure that you will find it the same way too!

We stayed here for 1 night, and it was just fine. The front desk staff are very friendly and helpful. The rooms are very clean, I think they must have a wonderful housekeeping staff. We were very lucky to be in the non-smoking section, and the room had a refrigerator and microwave. I never detected any smell of smoke, not even old stale smoke odors (and I am extremely sensitive to the smell of smoke.)
This hotel is a little bit away from the lake and main tourist areas of Duluth, but it is not far to drive there.
The area looks like it is being redeveloped, so there is some construction going on, but it did not seem to be difficult to navigate.

Room was clean but smelled stale. Bar fridge was set on the floor just inside the door as if it had been replaced and no longer fit the old space in the vanity. We stayed here only because there were no other rooms available in Duluth that allowed dogs, but felt robbed at $145/night. Continental breakfast was adequate, as was the pool and hot tub. Noisy hallways both nights woke me up. Won't stay again if I have an alternative.
