“Inviting Japanese loft guaranteed to bring a peaceful and relaxing stay”
Reviewed 6 October 2014 for a stay in October 2014

I was so glad to stay at Asahi lofts. (Beautiful Japanese decor, dishes, including robes and slippers for guests) It was as wonderful a place as the pictures show and even more than expected. We came to the loft and found homemade bread and warm apple crisp waiting for us plus some refrigerated items for breakfast. Because we stayed 3 nights we got $50 Harmony money to use at local places. Because of all this I felt it was quite a bargain at $125 a night. There is much to do in the area: Amish tours and shopping, great restaurants like Quarter quarter, the root river bike trail, a cave, hiking and beautiful parks and bluffs to see and so much more. It rained and was cold our first day but we found the loft a great place to sit in front of the fire and read books. A very tranquil and relaxing place that I hope to visit again.

Thank you for taking time to add a review. Indeed these guests experienced nasty weather, but embraced the quiet and took advantage of the tranquility of the Loft. Sometimes a weekend away is meant for slowing down.

“Fantastic”
Reviewed 18 September 2014 for a stay in September 2014

The Asahi Loft is a beautiful place. We especially appreciated the refrigerator stocked with basic foods. The fresh baked bread was delicious. We only stayed one night but hope to stay longer next time and we will be back.

“A peaceful little paradise”
Reviewed 25 August 2014 for a stay in August 2014

Asahi Loft was a perfect place for our little getaway. It was not far from our home yet we felt like we were far away! We were pleasantly surprised by the spacious loft- supplied by everything you could need and more. The fresh cut flowers, homemade breads, fruit, and chocolate were treats we enjoyed on arrival. The kitchen was modern and well appointed, and eating off the beautiful china and pottery bowls made it very special. The air tub was great! We left feeling very relaxed and discussing when we could come back!!

“A different, relaxing experience”
Reviewed 18 August 2014 for a stay in August 2014

Asahi was a memorable experience! It was different to stay at a place with so much detail into making the place relaxing. Mixing in Japanese culture is fun idea and it was fun to try on the yukatas that are available to wear. We explored Harmony and visited the Niagara caves, but just staying inside the Loft was equally as appealing. I highly recommend going for something different to do, and to get away for a weekend!

Such delightful guests! Photographing them in their yukata under the red /orange torii gate was a new experience as an innkeeper. The Asahi Loft has allowed us to keep in touch with young people and see our experiences through their eyes. Thank you for coming to Harmony and thanks for adding this review.

“Peaceful and relaxing stay with all the ammenities.”
Reviewed 4 August 2014 for a stay in August 2014

If you're looking for a weekend retreat, I'd definitely recommend the Asahi Loft in Harmony, MN. My sister and I were celebrating with our Mom for her birthday and stayed for a weekend getaway. We loved the space and amenities provided and owner, Cindy Ofstedal, was very accommodating and quick to help answer any questions. Having stayed at several B & B style hotels in the past, I would put Asahi at the top for cleanliness, a peaceful setting, great home-made snacks and the large space available to enjoy time away from home.

Thank you for taking time to add a review on your stay at Asahi Loft. Saw your "mom" enjoy her quiet time on the deck while the daughters were still sleeping. A recent guest was an very early riser and asked if we could use a little WD 40 on the door so she could sneak out. Great suggestion! The Loft is spacious enough for everyone to have their space.
