It was our first visit to Duluth and we discovered the Lake Avenue Restaurant while we were strolling around. The food is excellent. I had the Lemon Scallop Pasta, and it was absolutely delicious. Wednesday's are fun because a large selection of their bottled wines are half off. Unfortunately none of their sweet wines were a part of this, so we couldn't take advantage of the savings. :( I think this restaurant is a little bit overpriced, but everything we had was great, so that is a plus. The service was ok, but nothing to write home about.

Had lunch here today and found it to be understaffed and overpriced. The garden salad was fine. The kale salad was very disappointing. No mention of the kale being blanched on the menu and serving was very small for the price. I have had similar salads elsewhere for the same price that were better and much larger. Hostess was helpful and seated us fairly quickly because we were waiting there. However, we waited a really long time for our two salads. When asked if our food would be ready soon, the manager replied that it’s always slow on MEA weekend (basically fall break for MN public schools). Since he knew they would have more customers over MEA you would think he would increase his staffing. Also, $3.50 for a cup of coffee and the same for a soda seems high even for that location.

The grandkids loved their meals-chicken tenders and pizza. The coconut Chicken soup was amazing. Good Gluten Free selection. The steak and salmon had large portions and were flavorful. Great atmosphere. Walking distance to our Canal point hotel.

Cute restaurant with a bar - waitstaff was particularly nice. All the tall glass windows let in the light with a view of the small out door seating area.

The menus offered an eclectic twist of familiar bar food. If you arrived before 1p, you could still enjoy breakfast! The burgers were nicely sized portions, coleslaw was very tasty and had a nice crunch and they offered a wide variety of bar drinks.

We were on a little vacation when we enjoyed a delicious lunch on a weekday. I had the outstanding chicken waffle with sausage gravy - the flavor was a sort of maple BBQ. My husband had the wedge salad: romaine, bleu cheese, avacado, bits of very good bacon, and heirloom tomatoes. We liked the spare modern decor. Moderate noise level was good for conversation. Excellent service topped it off.
