We spent a weekend at Whiteley Creek and have already reserved for next summer. It's such a peaceful place: like stepping back in time. Instead of a big-screen TV and free wifi, you get fires in the 10" wide outdoor fireplace and comfortable conversation. The owners are so warm and welcoming, and you can tell a great deal of care goes into every detail, from the decor to the excellent healthy breakfasts. Cabins are private and unique, and there are trails to walk along and a little creek to canoe. Antiques are everywhere, but the inn doesn't feel kitschy in the slightest.
The comment about the desserts above is, in my opinion, totally unfair. These are put out in the evening - something most b&b don't even do. Adrienne's portions are reasonable (10" pie cut into 8 pieces) and she puts a lot of work into them: if I had baked for eight people and one person "gorges themselves" on what was supposed to be another guest's share, I'd be irritated too.
Highly recommend Whiteley Creek if you're looking for a beautiful and quiet escape. We can't wait to go back.
