Just stayed there one night, but the place was very clean, safe area, staff was great. A little on the pricey side to just lay your head, but would stay again. I think it was very busy due to the proximity to the waterpark.

Picked this hotel because we are Choice Hotel members. It was very disappointing. Carpet was stained from the lobby to our rooms. Front desk people were not helpful. Manager was in residence but would not handle out problems. The plunger to our sink was not working and when we complained to the desk they said they didn't have a maintenance person and to come back tomorrow when the manager could help us, (did not write down our complaint) rooms not clean, noisy room. the highlights of our stay was breakfast and housekeeping very nice and helpful. Booked in advance and paid almost twice as people were paying when we checked in. Even though we have been Choice hotel members for 20 years they did not adjust our rate. Choice membership a joke. A low spot in our vacation

My 6 y/o said it perfectly when we drove up, “This looks like a depressing old house”. Yes this is the Comfort Inn not the St. Regis, but that mostly sums it up.

The employees were very nice, but it was a warning sign when they remind you twice that “quiet hours start at 10pm”.
We stayed on the third floor, room 303. First impression of the elevator; I’ve seen nicer ones in Afghanistan. All the carpeting has stains, and the aroma of the hotel reflects that visual feast for the eyes.
But upon entering the room, you won’t be able to see as many issues as the lighting is extremely dim. The window overlooks the highly used snarking area in the parking lot.
Breakfast was interesting; the juice machine and fridge were “out of service”. The waffle maker had two different types of batter: Regular and Flavor if the Day. Flavor of the Day waffle batter?!?!

As for positives, there is a large indoor pool. We didn’t use it, but it looked like a very kept a clean area. It was always packed with family and kids. And TV channel options weren’t bad, with lots of premium stations.
The AC was ice cold, so that was fantastic.
The WiFi worked fine, but there isn’t any password required (be careful). And a surprisingly nice Walmart is just across the street.

Overall, I get that this is a seasonal town that makes most of its money with tourism for four months out of the year. But with about a ~$150 nightly charge, it needs to clean up its act. I would not recommend this hotel unless it’s absolutely necessary to sleep on a mattress with an adjoining bathroom.

Check on either the Weathervane in downtown Whitehall, or an AirBnB / VBMO.

We stayed here for the weekend picking up our kid from Blue Lake, because it is quite close to the camp. Our suite had comfy beds, and was clean and quiet. Breakfast in the morning was very good, and nothing ever ran out. Great staff!!

Breakfast was excellent , lots of places near by to eat lunch and dinner, like McDonalds, Subway, Pizza Hut , Little Caesars. Also a Walmart close for other needs.
Kids loved the pool, adults love the hot tub.
