“Very nice”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 10 August 2009

Stayed here for only one night but wish we would have discovered sooner. The Traverse City Cambria Suites is probably the cleanest hotel I have ever stayed in. The fitness center and pool were great. Also, the employees were very helpful and very professional. I would not hesitate to recommend.

OK, it not on the beach but the amenities, cleanliness and staff offset any driving. My wife is particular about a room being clean and this exceeded her expectations. Skip the buffet breakfast for $8 if you have kids and find a breakfast place to save $. However, the lounge inside is convenient for that "wind down session". The building is very attractive architechurally and the lobby is very comfortable. I would say for most snobs this place is appealing short of being high end. We are a family of 6 and found this a great place to stay in the future. Not far from DT but will have to drive.

I searched for weeks on the internet to find just the right place to stay while we were visiting family in Traverse City. I like nice, clean, good quality hotels. I also like a good deal.

I do my homework when I travel!

Our family called and suggested a place that they found that had walk in specials. The rate for that other hotel was almost $300 a night on the internet, but by calling I got half that price. I really thought it would be great....especially as they charge almost $300 a night. Sadly, I was wrong and the other hotel was not good.

SO... I called the CAMBRIA SUITES! They had a room, again, the price was a little less by calling than even the internet! I asked for an early check in if possible.

We arrived at the hotel at 10:15am, I in know way expected them to have our room ready. Well, THEY DID! The woman I talked to on the phone said bc she knew we would need it right away she had them clean a room as soon as one opened. We were able to check in and I am blown away. The place is beautiful! The only nicer room I ever was in was at Ceaser's Palace in Vegas. (and I travel a lot for work internationally!)

This hotel is really wonderful Clean, new, pleasant staff, wonderful amenitites.

If you are looking for a hotel to come to either for business or pleasure, I would pick this one over all others in a heartbeat. No matter the price!

First let me say that as of July 17, 2009, this Hotel was three weeks old. It still had the NEW smell and was so clean it squeeked! No expense was spared for the decor throughout the facility. Marble, granite, gorgeous colors, black accents on warm birch funishings. Whether it be the room-maid or the Manager, ALL of the Staff was VERY courteous and friendly throughout our stay. There is an indoor pool on the far side of the hotel. No chlorine smells permiated the main part of the building. There is also a bar and restaurant directly in view from the front door/lobby. Treats are available 24/7 (even organic) in addition to Frappacinos, Mochas, coffees, teas.... Alchoholic drinks are served with high grade brands. The prices are reasonable. Buffet breakfast was $7.99 which included 2 selections of eggs, 2 meats, various FRESH cold fruit, cereals, beverages, pastries, breads and probably a few more items I have forgotten.

Two spacious elevators serve this facility of multi floors. Our room was a suite. It had two queen beds on one side of a laticed worked partition and a pull out sofa. The sofa side includes a flat screen TV, bar with refrigerator and microwave, an overstuffed chair, desk, computer chair, and all computer hook-ups. The other side has two queen size beds and its own flat screen TV. The beds were very comfy with four pillows of various softness to choose from. The water pressure in the large bathroom was good and the water hot. Enough fluffy, thick towels to please anyone. Also, the soap for the sink and tub were from Bath & Body Works and generous in size. No skimpy slivers here! The air conditioner (and heater) worked on a digital wall thermostat and could be adjusted to one degree if needed. (Just like home.)

The Hotel is located on Munson Avenue which was very close to Route 37 leading to Old Mission Point and the Wine Trail. Two blocks more and you were in down-town Traverse City. It is about 9 miles from the Casino in Willamsburg and 24 miles from Sleeping Bear Sand Dunes. One draw back was the traffic flow in this section of town. It was quite heavy because Route 72 and 31 and 37 are knotted here. Sometimes puling in or out of the Hotel lot was a bit nerve-wracking. That was the only complaint we could think of.
