Overall it was a great stay. The host were very nice and accommodating. We miss understood the self accommodation aspect and they provided dinner the first night of our stay after a long 7hr drive from Joberg. The lodge itself is very clean and has a fully equipped kitchen (take salt tho lol) and they even provide mosquito nets above the beds which I thought was awesome. You should be aware that The lodge is very far from the main entrance to Kruger Park in Phalapowa which was the only downside (self inflicted). Check your distances very well before booking. There are no stores or facilities within a 45min drive. Go fully prepared.

Thank you for this wonderful review. We do, however, send DETAILED descriptions beforehand to all our guests who book the self catering cottage, which states (in bold letters) that the cottage is self catering only; also we do advise that there are no shopping facilities on the reserve and that the nearest shops are 32 km away in the same description. We are thankful nonetheless that your overall experience was good, and one day. Kind regards from all at Muweti.

We had the pleasure of staying at Muweti Bush Lodge for our third time just prior to Christmas 2017. While we were initially disappointed that Laura and Mike were on holiday, we met Reinhardt and Maria who were managing the lodge. To our delight all aspects of the stellar service that we have come to expect did not miss a beat during our five-day stay; that includes the hospitality and warmth. All the meals were excellent; love the fillets, boerewors and the salmon too, Maria :)
We saw many elephants both at the lodge and on the game rides with Reinhardt. Giraffe, zebra, wildebeest, jackals and impala were plentiful. I have a newfound respect for the impala after Reinhardt’s game drive discussions. We stayed in the tented chalet off the pool deck, the bed is still super comfortable. As always it was a relaxing stay and the perfect way to end our visit to South Africa. Already looking forward to a return trip. Cheers!

It is a pity we missed you but we had to go see our kids and grandkids. Nonetheless we are very happy that you had a great stay. We knew (as we advised beforehand) that you would be in good hands. Thank you for the fantastic review. Regards from all here.

Only three chalets, perfectly equipped, large swimming pool, best wifi in SA, quiet, excellent steaks, giraffes and kudus all around, best service and best owner with his wife.
There is nothing more to say...

I has enjoyed a wonderful stay at Muweti Bush Lodge. Mike and Laura have greeted me at the airport before they went boarding for Xmas vacation. The guide Reinhardt and his wife Maria have taken up the role of a warm host during my stay. They have done the best to accommodated all guests' needs and requests. The entire stay was like being guests at a sincere friend's home, we had meals together and chatted next to the fire every night, which made me feel pleasant and relax. Reinhardt was professional and it was a enjoyment to know the stories of the animals from him during the game drives. It was so sweet that Maria has made me my favourite Malva Pudding for dessert at last night. Muweti is not 5-star accommodation, but all the little human touchs have made it simply the best stay I ever had! I love everything of Muweti (except the Frog Prince tried to break into my chalet every night :), definitely will be back for sure, and hope next time will meet the famous host Mike and Laura.
