We were staying near Munising and this restaurant wasn't too far so we thought we would check it out. It was clean, very friendly staff, we were waited on right away. I was cold down to the bones as we were out in the rain seeing water falls. I ordered hot turkey sandwich and my husband ordered philly cheese sandwich. Both were outstanding. My meal warmed me right up comfort food at its best. It's a good old fashion restaurant with attention on service, food, and pleading the customers. A+

We had been looking at local waterfalls in the rain for 5 hours...needed coffee, and dreaded the usual weak cup of dribble that restaurants usually serve. I received a huge cup of the best coffee i've ever had while dining out. The waitresses were super-friendly, the prices reasonable, and the chicken-dumpling soup had actual dumplings...not the mini pre-made frozen ones. My husband ordered a pasty, which he said was very good but different from the norm (had some kind of spice he couldn't identify), and i had a nacho supreme which was HUGE. It was the best place we visited the entire trip, and is worth the trip out of town.

Located near Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore, and many OTV/AT and Snowmobile trails. Great place to rest and warm up! We have eaten here many times, never have we gone away hungry :) The Burgers are thick and juicy, and the Pasties are heavenly. You can really feel at home here. We will be back for more!

My husband and I stopped for a late lunch after hiking at Picture Rocks National Lakeshore. This is a bar/restaurant with emphasis on the bar. The place could have been cleaner but it was pretty average. The food, however, was very good. My husband had the special whitefish basket. The fish was great and the fries were very good (real potato taste). The only complaint was that the tartar sauce was too heavy on the pickle relish. I had the pasty with gravy on the side. The pasty was yummy but the gravy was a little too salty for my taste and didn't seem "home made". I wish they would have had the option to order the pasty with chicken. Very very friendly staff!

It had been a very long day. 8 hours in a car, epic hunt for lodging, then cramming in as much hiking as possible before dark. We were starving!! Our front desk at the hotel suggested Bear Trap Inn for dinner. We ordered a lot of food and all of it was fantastic! The Texas toothpicks, fried onions and jalapeno s-fantastic! Deep fried cheese curds!!! Also fantastic! I then ordered a salad. It was bigger than my head with the whole garden and 2 proteins in it! Chicken and bacon!! Amazing!! My husband got The Big Baloo! A huge burger smothered in mushrooms! It was all fabulous! And bonus, I saw my first humming bird there! They had feeders outside the window!
