“OK, it was only a hamburger.”

We went to Lucy's about a month ago while staying at our cottage in Saugatuck. It apparently had not been open too long. We heard it was owned by the same folks that own the fabulous Everyday People; I don't know if that is so or not, but i tend to believe it based on the food. I ordered a hamburger and fries, just something to fill the void and not expecting anything special. It was really a great burger! The meat itself was really tasty, perhaps due to seasoning. The whope presentation was very nice. Fries are different all over and I like lots of different ones and these were very good. The rest of our party also was very pleased with they're orders. The staff was friendly and attentive. We sat outside, it was just perfect.

Matt knows how to put a great restaurant together. Great people, awesome food. Just like Everyday People Cafe. This is EPC's more casual cousin, It just opened in this new location a few weeks ago and even more recently got their liquor license, so they are still working out a few kinks on the service side. The food has no kinks. At all. We ordered the conch fritters and decided that that were better than any we have had in the Caribbean. Seriously!! They are a little lighter/fluffier than what we are used to seeing in the Caribbean. Also, a little bit of fresh, local sweet corn adds a some sweetness that really works well. I had the fish sandwich, it was excellent. Spice crusted mahi mahi, lemon caper mayo, lettuce, tomato, daikon-carrot slaw. the meaty mahi, crunchy slaw, creamy LC mayo and grilled, soft bun make a great package. My wife had the wagyu sirloin. Where do you get a wagyu sirloin for $22? The buttermilk-chive spaetzle served with the Wagyu was buttery and tender, but with just the right amount of chew As mentioned, they just opened, so have a little patience, it's worth it. In a month or so they will be perfect across the board.

We had a great meal at Lucy's over the busy Labor Day weekend. Service was a bit on the slow side, but it was to be expected with the restaurant at-capacity. Specialty cocktails we very good. Tuna nachos, my fave at the old location, still stellar. Matt, the owner, was there making sure all was running as smoothly as possible. Nice to see such a hands-on owner! Entree's were all excellent. We will be back!

This is a good place for drinks and small meals. The lobster roll was amazing. Perfect for lunch! Service was ok and there was no wait at all. It was a very nice environment with sitting area outside and inside. It is not cheap but the food is worth the price you pay for it!

Probably came here on their busiest day of the year over Labor Day Weekend, and was kind of disappointed at the logistical mess the restaurant seemed to be. There wasn't a distinct place to get your name on a list for a table. When we did, we were told it would be a 35-45 minute wait (it ended up being about 5 minutes). We had 2 servers, 2 bus people, our check was picked up by one kid, then our waitress didn't know it was taken, then she returned it and the kid took it again. The whole thing seemed sloppy.

We only each ate the burger, and were surprised that it was delivered without a top bun - something we both thought the menu should have mentioned. It was delicious, however cutting a burger without a top bun (because you can't pick it up) on a paper-lined plastic basket means you end up eating the paper.

This place should have been stellar given the reviews. I however wouldn't go back.
