Surprisingly decent food. Had Shepard Pie which was hot, not greasy, and delicious. Recommended for a quick travel meal.

Celebrity chef named but not run restaurant. Lackadaisical service, very limited and expensive menu. Much better options at almost every other venue int eh airport.

During a long layover in Detroit, my wife and I tried Car Cora’s for dinner. We both greatly enjoyed the Shepherd’s Pie. It contained a good portion of meat and vegetables and tasted quite good, maybe a touch bland for some tastes, though. The only real complaint was that the uniformly diced carrots screamed “frozen,” but the flavors and textures were fine. Our server was pleasant, efficient and attentive. Looking around, it seemed like other pub-type fare was pretty popular, such as the Fish ‘n Chips.

With time to kill & the prospect of hours without the chance to eat, other than inflight offerings, we checked out a few menus in various eateries & this seemed ok. Staff were extremely pleasant & efficient so our order & drinks didn't take long. With one Angus beef burger, fries & trimmings and one small plate cauliflower cheese we both enjoyed our meals, enough fries to share and they were lovely. This isn't a chain we're familiar with but in a similar situation wouldn't hesitate to give them another try, thanks.

The place looks great and the service is prompt but the wings and onion soup were both disappointing. The wings were skinny, under seasoned and served in an odd "asian" style sauce. The cheese on the onion soup was baked nicely but it was baked onto the giant slice bread on top making it impossible to eat. The soup is loaded with nicely cooked onions but the broth is bland and the gruyere they are using is flavorless.
