Snuck up here for a quiet weekend away. What a hidden gem. The Owners were onsite and making sure that everything was working right and going well. There is a board game library, and if you need anything you can just ask! The cottages are delightful, inviting and clean. All doors and windows open easily, no bugs in the rooms, tidy and quaint. There are all different kinds of rooms, with different amenities for what you need, and EVERY cottage is lake view. The lakefront is clean and inviting with chairs and fire pits (bring your own wood). Great place for a family with small children, wish I had of found it years ago. The only issue - boy was that water cold brrrr!!!

Room Tip: Cottage 6 for a couple... semi private balcony with sliding doors facing lake - beautiful

This was our second time staying at Sandcastle. We stayed here in July 2013, just after the new owners took over. Returning almost 3 years later, it was evident they have worked hard to maintain the property. We noticed fresh paint, new lumber, new flooring tiles, and very clean and well-kept grounds. A brand-new shuffleboard court was being installed during our stay as well.

The kids love this place. Very large beach with swings, a slide, monkey bars, basketball, volleyball, and more. It's nice to be able to walk out your front door and be on the beach. The resort provides lounge chairs as well. There are two fire pits for campfires. There are grills and grill tools provided as well.

We love this place! We will be back, for sure!

We went to Sandcastle for a weekend in June and had so much fun. The kids played with other kids on site, there was a play structure, volley ball net, corn hole, and they were putting in a new shuffle board. The resort it self is very clean and all of the cabins face the water. I watched the sun rise every morning around 0530 and at night the water looks so pretty with shades of purple, pink and blue. The fires on the beach were relaxing and there was plenty of seating, no need to bring a chair. We are already planning our next trip. This may be our new favorite place.

Room Tip: The suites are small, but each one has outdoor space with table and chairs.

The wife and I just needed to get away from home for a few days. This place was the rigth place to do it. We had the cabin on the end next to the water. Looking to come back in a few weeks for a longer stay. Thanks all.

Amazingly fun, restful, and entirely delightful experience at Sandcastle Beach Resort. This beautifully designed, simple yet unique set of beach homes are tucked into a super soft sand getaway where Lake Huron is literally 50 feet away. There is a fire pit feet from the shore, a perfect beach volleyball net, sports supplies: frisbees, soccer balls, basketballs and adjustable hoop, swings and slides for the kids, and a nice set of benches and more than enough beach chairs for family and friends. The homes themselves offer all of the important accommodations and will ensure you are well rested and refreshed to enjoy all that this family friendly resort has to offer. If you are looking to enjoy the local outdoors , I also recommend the canoe and kayak rental place nearby, the slow flowing river was gorgeous and only about a 10 minute drive away. Also the owners, the Wdowik family is incredible!! They were very helpful, courteous, and understanding of the large group that I was with. Of all the beach resorts that I have been to, this is definitely the best value. I have been there twice now and will be a planning another trip soon. If you are seeking a truly memorable beach getaway, visit this resort, you will thank yourself throughout the entire experience!
