“5 star experience in a picture perfect location”

If you are looking for luxury in a beautiful setting then Chateau de Goult is for you. A 17th Century Castle with 21st Century touches, nestled in the picture perfect little village of Goult. It has been lovingly restored by its owner and updated to include many beautiful en suite bathrooms. With several terraces outside you can lounge around by the pool or sit up on one of the higher terraces with a glass of wine. If you are looking for peace and tranquility in a magical setting then this is for you. We also had a local chef (organised by owner) to come on 2 evenings to cook for us. Beautiful provencal food. The village of Goult also has some of the best restaurants around within a short stroll from the Chateau - so no driving required. Goult is also the perfect location to visit many interesting places around - Avignon, Gordes, Lacoste, Rousillion, Isles Sur La Sorge - all under an hours drive. There is a very helpful caretaker who lives on the grounds. This is the perfect location for extended family/friends gathering and a special treat for all ages.

Prepare for your jaw to hit the floor in admiration as you wander around this stunning property. You are at once transported back to the 13th century in architecture, while enjoying the power shower luxuries of the modern age. The chateau has been sensitively restored and provides a luxurious base from which to explore Provence or merely stroll 200 metres to the boulangerie and some great restaurants and antique shops. The views are stunning, the couches comfy and the wifi speedy. We enjoyed sipping wine on the terraces, availed of the talented chef service and relished the tranquility. Great antique shopping in nearby L'Isle sur La Sorgue. Treat yourself and stay here. You will not be sorry. Congratulations to the owners on a fabulous job.

“Magical Provence Experience”
Reviewed 24 May 2014 for a stay in May 2014

This was a short break with friends and family. Arriving in the late Spring sunshine into the film-worthy picturesque village of Goult we were blown away by the combination of grandeur and comfort at the Chateau. The owners have lovingly preserved the original structure but added sleek modern bathrooms and relaxed communal living areas both inside and outdoors. They arranged everything we needed including a fantastic (but very reasonable) chef to cook for us on a couple of evenings. The restaurants in the village are knockout, if they were in NYC it would be impossible to get a reservation. It's easy to get everywhere you'd want to go, the TGV is 45 min away in Avignon and it's about an hour to the airport in Marseille. There are tons of rentals in the Luberon and hard to figure out how to ensure a really special experience. This one is really exceptional. Would highly recommend it.
