I stayed at Villa St Simon for 1 night with my wife during a 2 week holiday in the nearby area. Les & Clarissa were absolutely fantastic hosts, very welcoming and helpful. We chose the Rouselle room, we were not disappointed as it was a large double room with a huge bathroom and an amazing balcony overlooking the local park.

When we arrived we booked the wine tasting that evening with Les, in their newly acquired premises just a few meters from the Villa St Simon. There were just 4 of us and Les at the wine tasting and the art gallery was a perfect setting, nice and relaxing. Les is very knowledgeable about wine and we learnt lots during the hour or so we spent at the tasting! Clarissa was kind enough to book us a table at a locally recommended restaurant - Le Gavroche. One of the many benefits of staying at Villa St Simon is that you can take your own bottle of wine to some of the selected restaurants in the area. In the reception area of the Villa there is a nice selection of wine to choose from starting from €10, all you do is choose a bottle, put the price tag on the hook corresponding to your room on the wall and they add this to your bill - very easy! Le Gavroche was absolutely fantastic, we chose the Menu du Soir, for €20 each we had 3 courses which were fantastic...highly recommended and we would not have found this restaurant had it not been for Clarissa and Les's recommendation.

Overall we had a great time and only wish that we could have stayed longer than 1 night, as we would have loved to go on one of the wine tours. We'll be back...one day!

we stayed at the Villa St Simon and had a great couple of days exploring the Medoc and the surround countryside. Superb hospitality from Les, Ckarissa and Julian. we stayed in the apartment. Les and Julian have great knowledge of the local area. Much wine drunk and new wines and vineyards explored and drunk

Room tip: Clean and modern, we stayed in the apartment alongside the main building

Having spent the previous two weeks touring France, there is always that inevitable sinking feeling as the last leg approaches , sometimes less of a holiday and more of a resignation to the fact that all good things must come to an end .. HOWEVER! a last night spent chez Villa St Simon dispelled all those feelings and ensured our last night was indeed memorable. The room , welcome from Les, Clarissa and friends was second to none. The crispness of the beatiful white linen was a tonic , the room simple but true to the bulidings family origins was very sympathetic. An excellent recommendation for dinner followed by good wine and conversation with Les, Clarissa, others guest and friends (and some beautful cats ) - HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

We spent five wonderful days in Villa St Simon. The accomodation was clean, serviced daily and was very comfortable. Clarissa, Les and Julian were extremely helpful. Nothing was too much trouble for them. We can recommend it highly.
