“Wasn't welcoming at all”
Reviewed 31 July 2011

Although I wasn't asked when I reserved the room, the owners refuse to rent to under 21. I got lucky to get a different person to check me in and since I already paid I was given a "chance". She told us her background story and besides refusing to rent to under 21, she won't rent to team sports (baseball and softball exclusively mentioned), and will only rent to "certain African American families". After we got her off our back it was ok. Bed was fine, tv was small but lots of channels, bathroom was adequate but small toilet and tub, and internet is wired only and you have to hope they have a cord for you. The noise travels through the rooms easily and you can hear the other rooms.

This is a very sweet old motel, and the owner is equally as sweet. Our room had a queen bed, refrigerator, microwave, TV, and broadband internet (which required a cable, provided by the owner). There was a lovely quilt on the bed with matching pillow shams. The room was very clean and the towels were very plush. The only drawback was the bathroom which was teeny. But the price was right, and everything else suite us perfectly. We'd stay here again!

We were on business and looking for a reasonable night's stay. Not only was the room very clean, the staff was exceptional in trying to make our stay enjoyable. We had to remain in town for another night, we came back here. The morning coffee is great and rates very reasonable. I would recommend this motel for a pleasant stay.

We had a family get together and we got rooms at the Bel-Aire Motel, because everything else was full. It was very clean and nice rooms, one of things we haven't found at other places we looked at, are the things, we and the kids could do in the yard, they have landscaped 3 aches fixed it with lots of things to do. There is a tent canopy, with tables and chairs, we could just set outside even in the rain and talk and visit, play cards or what ever. Also a fire pit with chairs so we can roast marshmallows, also we could play horse shoes, soft ball, valley ball and with the beautiful net we could play many other games . We also had fridges and micro-waves in the rooms, nice bedding and new carpeting in most of our rooms. It was fun being able to set on the deck and grill, and the grill even had an extra cooker and the were dishes that we could use, so we didn't have to eat on paper plates, We all had a very good time and are planning a trip there next year. There was even laundry faciliates. Plus they take pets. No pool, but a really a clean place. AAA+++ rating for this place.
Thanks for a lovely time.

Very friendly management. However we were promised an upgraded room but it was not available. (we were early) But we will still stop by this nice little Motel on our way through town. Centrally located, easy on and off highway and CLEAN..CLEAN!!
