Stumbled into this restaurant without knowing anything about it. Turned out to be a good deal. It was a late, casual lunch so we ordered a few tarts flambé (flammekeuche). We tried a few different ones. All were good. Turned out to be too much of a good thing as we couldn't finish. I'd say order about 4 for a party of 5. Decent prices. Good service.

Thank Ulysses S

A rainy evening in Kaysersberg, but we dined in a pleasant and cosy inside space. We both chose traditional dishes - a beackaoffe of rabbit and choucroute with three fish. My choucroute was pleasantly mild and retained some crunch. It came with three decent-sized pieces of well-cooked fish. The rabbit was apparently tender and tasty. I had a crème brulee with bergamot - only faintly redolent of bergamot, but nice nonetheless. Good wine, a little pricier than in other establishments perhaps.
Friendly and attentive service - chef came to check we were satisfied too. We were.

Cosy restaurant, great service.
Foie gras was delicious paired with apple compote and toast. The backhoffe (secret recipe of chef) was unique though a tad salty. Thoroughly enjoyed the 3 poissons with choucroute.
Creme brulee was average.
Good value for price paid. Recommends highly.

This is a small restaurant with a lovely staff and excellent food at reasonable prices. The decor is clean and attractive, not overly trendy but not old-fashioned, either. We spoke with a fellow diner there, who lives in the town, and he told us later that it is one of the best values and best food in Kaysersberg. We agree.

We stumbled in here to avoid a rain downpour and have a bite to eat. Lucky us! Simple lunch but very good - 4 seasons tarte flamee, grand foie gras, and 2 glasses of cremant wine - voila! Simple, good, reasonable at 28 euro. The food was just right and by the time we were finished, the rain had stopped pouring. Would go again.
