We rented this property over labor day weekend and paid a 50% premium per day since we rented for only 3 days. The location is great, the house itself was comfortable and the beach pristine. While everything was great, we had issues with the rental management company. During our stay, we got locked out of one of the bedrooms accidentally and could not find a key to unlock it. According to the house rental information document placed in the house, the front door key should have opened all bedroom locks but it did not unlock this door. A couple in our party were diabetics and their medications were stuck in the room. We had to call the mgmt company and they didn't have a key and had to bring in a locksmith to open the door. While it was negligence on the part of the mgmt company not to provide keys for bedrooms with locks, they ended up charging me for the locksmith and did not even notify me before deducting the charge from the security deposit. It was a piddly $40 charge but its a matter of principle and basic customer service that we should not have been charged for a service/key that should have been provided by the rental mgmt company as a given. So basically if you rent the house, renter beware, in case you need the management company's assistance in getting something fixed in the house, you will get charged for it.
