Lawcus Farms Guest House is a hidden gem in Kilkenny or for that matter Ireland. What a beautiful place to stay not to mention how incredible the owners Anne Marie and Mark are. Their guest house is so warm and welcoming. From the amazing landscapes, to the warmth of the farm and accommodations, it’s a must stay if you are in the area. Anne Marie prepares a full Irish breakfast and greets you every morning with a smile, great conversation and an amazing meal. Mark has renovated this incredible home into a home you just read about in story books or history. But now you are actually staying in a part of history. He is so helpful with directions and sites to see in the area. They are both incredibly friendly and offer up great conversation. By the end of our stay, we were so sad to leave. It felt like home. We can’t wait to go back and stay there again. Next time it will be for longer. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

My family had an absolutely lovely stay at Lawcus Farm. Mark and Ann Marie instantly make you feel welcome and at home. The rooms are very tastefully appointed and comfortable. The farm itself is wonderful and was perfect for our two-year-old to explore. Mark's creativity and resourcefulness shine through around every corner, inside and out. Ann Marie is a master in the kitchen and breakfast was consistently delicious with fresh, locally-sourced ingredients. The Farm is conveniently located to explore all the area has to offer; just minutes from Kells Priory, Jerpoint Abbey, and medieval Kilkenny, and a little over an hour to the Rock of Cashel. A visit to nearby Malzerd's Pub is also a must!

In a trip full of highlights, our time at Lawcus Farm stands above the rest. We would return in a heartbeat!

We spent two wonderful weeks touring southwest and central Ireland, and must confess that the highpoint was our stay was Lawcus Farm. We feel so fortunate to have experienced such a special place. Ann-Marie and Mark are certainly blessed with the gift of hospitality and this coupled with the backdrop of their beautiful farm produced a pastoral haven of respite. The surrounding area is rich in history, beauty, and explorable remnants of a bygone era. The farm's charming, peaceful atmosphere prompted conversation and engagement with fellow travelers. We enjoyed the delicious multi-course breakfasts, thoughtfully prepared with consideration of individual tastes in a delightful, sunny, airy setting. Outstanding! A most memorable stay. If ever again in Ireland, a must revisit!

Lovely peaceful location with warm and charming hosts. Their welcome is sincere and it's a joy to stay with them, they make you completely at home and genuinely enjoy your company and we enjoyed theirs. The lovely kitchen/breakfast room is so homely and a hub of chatter and good humour from Mark and Ann-Marie. They should be very proud of what they have and what they give.

Room Tip: Had the family room and its position with the balcony is wonderful. Worth taking if available even if there's only two of you.

We traveled all over Ireland this May-June. I can safely say that the highlight of our trip was our visit to Lawcus Farm Guest House. It was like living in a fairy tale. The hosts Mark & Ann-Marie were very warm & hospitable. Mark is an amazingly talented gentleman, who has built the place with his own hands. He is a great story teller & has a story to share about everything you see on the farm. Ann-Marie is a great cook & makes you delicious breakfast that she serves you with lots of love & warmth. Their dog Bruce is the sweetest dog ever & the little lamb, Lamborghini is just the cutest. The rooms are very comfortable & cozy. The property is very well looked after & if you want to experience Irish country life, look no further. We would love to go back again & again & again.
