“Wonderful little museum”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 15 July 2012 via mobile

This small museum is packed with much historical data regarding the Frankenmuth settlement. The displays are very well done. It not only enlightens the visitor on Frankenmuth and it's people, but on the building of America in general. The gift shop is tasteful and the prices are not too bad.

“I'd rate it 3.5, actually........”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 18 May 2012

We stopped into this small historical museum while having dinner in Frankenmuth on a weekday. We spent about 40 minutes here, and enjoyed the displays of early life in Frankenmuth. There are interactive/hands on exhibits, as well as narrated displays. It would have been nice to provide seating in each area that has the narrated displays, because there is not that much to explore while staying in the area to listen to the narration. Also, I felt the lighting was fairly poor in some areas, especially where you want to read the information! I realize some low lighting is there to provide safety for the documents from the environment, but you need light for your visitors to read those displays! We visited during the Titanic exhibit and that was very interesting and well presented. There is a small gift shop attached, and the best thing I found in it were the selection of books. Staff were friendly and helpful. $2 adult entry fee. Parking in back. Bathrooms available and clean. Entry can be accessed from street or back parking lot.

“Great history on Titanic”

This was very much a surprise for our travelers as Mansfield, Ohio had a survivor of this great tragedy and many feel close to this event. Very informative and appreciated
