We stayed at the Westin Detroit Metro Airport on a long layover in Detroit from a Spring Break 2012 flight from Mexico. The hotel is in the MaCnamara (main) terminal, and is easily accessible - no waiting for a shuttle. When departing the hotel in the morning, the Westin has a dedicated security checkpoint when departing the hotel, which makes for quick and easy access to the terminal. Check in was fast, and every hotel associate we encountered was courteous, professional, and efficient.

When making the reservation at the hotel, I asked for extra pillows and a rollaway bed. Unfortunately, as a frequent traveler, I find that special requests are seldom fulfilled. When we arrived at our room, the extra pillows and roll-a-way bed were in the room for this tired and ready to "crash" family. The beds are very comfortable, the rooms were quiet, and the cleanliness was impeccable.

I have stayed at the Weston Detroit Metro Airport Hotel several times. It is an attractive, clean, and customer focused hotel. The convenience of the hotel located directly in the terminal far outweighs any small savings we have observed at other area hotels. This will always be our "go to" lodging whenever needed for flights at DTW.

We've stayed here on a few occassions and found the Westin be very convenient after long-haul flights into Metro Airport. Check-in was efficient, and the desk staff were helpful. In general, the rooms we've had were large, clean and well-furnished - and this was certainly true for our most recent stay. We had some problems with room service and a dodgy light fixture in the bathroom during the last stay, though these were not major issues. For an airport hotel, we've experienced little noise from the planes, and each stay has been comfortable. We would return again.

We stay at this Westin any time before we fly out early for a Delta international or domestic flight since we live an hour and a half from the airport. This is a beautiful Westin and is up to Westin standards for bed quality, sleep quality and overall beautiful hotel. The restaurant is excellent as well. Often times you can get a great deal for an overnight stay with free valet parking for a week. We love this feature as our vehicle stays in their secure lot and we have the valet get our car upon our return while we get our luggage. There is also a security line right there in the hotel so if you just want to pop in for dinner while waiting for a flight you can do so. I absolutely recommend this hotel without hesitation.

Stayed here for 8 nights in March. Would not recommend to stay that long unless on business, you have a car and/or will be travelling by air to other USA locations during your stay. Hotel is right at the airport and you will need to drive to shops and other attractions. Location is great for travelling to Ann Arbour or other areas of the region as it is right near freeways. Downtown Detroit approx 40 mins away. Hotel is clean on site restaurant is pricey but food OK.

We booked a parking package at the Westin the night before flying to Miami. I am so glad we did it was great to get up in the morning completely relaxed and not rushed. The Hotel is beautiful!!!! Even though our room overlooked the airport gates we never heard any noise. It was fun to watch the planes, and even better that we didn't hear them. Westin guests have a dedicated security gate to enter the airport! Totally convenient. You also can get a pass to go into the airport (to access stores/ restaurants), but it was a HUGE hassle, fill out papers for everyone, then we were completely searched. I have never been patted down getting on a plane, but when we went to eat in the airport, we all were completely patted down. I understand and agree with security, but I have never been searched like this!!! Had I known, we would not have gone! Staff was wonderful, Marcy ( I think that was her name) in the business center was very helpful. I would stay here again if ever flying out of Detroit!!
