Drove all through the park and stopped in many places along the beach, checked out some cabins, and they are in the wilderness! The campsites are as close to the water as you want them to be, and the trails go way back into the wild, and close to the shores of Sturgeon Bay (Michigan). If you want to get away (and who doesn't) and back to nature, be prepared to share anything you drop or leave behind with the wild animals of the north woods! The name describes it perfectly, and you are a good 12 miles, nearly 30 minute drive from the closest community once in the park.
