Had an absolutely incredible, everything-we-wanted event for our daughter & son-in-law's wedding weekend. From the time we checked in to when we checked out, every need or want was taken care of; Had a delicious rehearsal dinner Friday evening that was relaxing & fun. The wedding ceremony & reception, orchestrated by Erin who was indescribably attentive & always in control, could not have been any better than they were- from the turn around tiime between the ceremony, cocktail hour & reception to the delicious meals prepared by the chef. Every hotel staff member, Michelle, Ashley, Molly, Hugh & all others, were knowledgable, friendly & always wanting to help in anyway. The rooms were extremely clean, inviting & more than comfortable. Thank you for taking the anxiety out of planning a wedding & giving all of us a most memorable weekend!

We stayed here as a family of 4 with a teen and pre-teen on our last evening in US, before flying home. Sadly by the time we travelled to Williamston from our previous day's stop-over we were too late to make use of the pool. Williamston is such a pretty place and again we were sad that we did not get to see more of the town - so many beautiful churches and all very different in their style.
The pool is in a screened courtyard with sun-loungers and a step entry into the water which suits younger children and the less mobile (this is unsupervised, parents take note).
Our room was probably the most spacious of our entire US stay, it had 2 queen beds and was well equipped with a TV, a small fridge, hair-dryer. There was a gym, which again we didn't have the chance to use, but looked well equipped. We were not too impressed with the wifi, as the signal kept dropping, but the kids found this to be better in the communal areas in the main guest relation area.
There is a restaurant on site, which serves evening meals and breakfast and we did intend to dine there, as there is a 20% discount to hotel guests, but when we got downstairs around 8pm, there were quite a number of people standing around the bar talking - to us this seemed extremely LOUD, so we decided to eat elsewhere instead.
In our room there was a vanity area with a stool, good lighting and a separate sink, which suited us as the girls could get ready while adults were using the bathroom and vice versa.
The main guest seating and relaxation area was nicely decorated and looked warm and inviting and here we found hot drinks - there were also cookies provided, which was a nice touch and appreciated after a long day travelling.
The beds were comfortable and the room was clean, but despite being in a quite location away from traffic noise, sleep was interrupted by noises during the night, we were unsure if it was the air-con or water heater. The noise was still noticeable in the morning and when we investigated it seemed to be coming from a partitioned section in the cupboard and may have been from the water boiler?! It is this fact which has prevented me in giving the Orchards a higher rating.

Room tip: The room at the end of the hall closest to the emergency exit, has a noisy water heater

We arrived in pouring rain and were greeted by a pleasant lady at the reception desk. Check in was quick. Our room was large and comfortable, with two full size beds, sheets and towels were clean and luxurious. Bathroom was dated but has been renovated with a good shower, marble tile floors etc. quality amenities. This is a large hotel and must take quite a lot of maintenance. Nice outdoor seating and a small swimming pool. Staff at breakfast in the Gala Restaurant were friendly and efficient. Great place to visit Williams College, the Clark Institute, Berkshire Festival Theater etc, about 45 minutes to Tanglewood and Stockbridge. Recommend for short stays.

Spent the night here during a couple’s get-away with my husband. Quick drive from the fabulous Clark Institute of Art. Check in was quick, the staff was knowledgeable and friendly. Our king bedded room was very spacious and clean. The hotel provides cookies and coffee/tea/hot chocolate in the lobby. I believe the hotel is a very good value for the money. It is not trendy- but it is a solid and welcoming place to stay.

The professionalism of the staff was the hallmark of our two night stay in a king superior room. The door to the room had clearly been tampered with when we arrived, and the front desk and maintenance staff dealt with the situation promptly which is all you can ask. It
really never felt secure even after the “repair” but they tried.

The WiFi situation was not acceptable. Be forewarned. WiFi is intermittent. One staff member said that it was only Apple products that had a problem. She suggested that “even if we tried to keep up with all the technological advances we would always be behind” which struck me as the excuse you do NOT want your staff to give to anyone. Because here’s the deal: solid working WiFi is the equivalent of providing hot water in today’s market. If you own a hotel you better deliver it.

The beds are soft. Way too soft for us. Two nights and we both had back aches. I would love to find the person/s who created the pillow top mattress and ask if they actually sleep on one.

In a nutshell: this is not a “bad” hotel. In fact, it is probably the VERY BEST option among many in the area. The AAA four diamond awards on display in the lobby stop around 4 years ago. But there is a hard working staff delivering cookies to your room each evening, cleaning perfectly daily, and striving to make your stay pleasant. We loved them.

Bottom line, we would stay here again and in the same King superior room and we would bring low expectations on WiFi delivery and be prepared for back aches. All because we know the staff truly cares about the customer and will do whatever is necessary to insure their satisfaction.
