We’re spending an evening here as we visit family in the area. The location is superb. It’s basically right off the main drag in Rockport but set a block back so it’s quiet. Our room is fresh and well appointed with two double beds, a small cafe table, a dresser, a shoe rack, lots of hooks, plenty of plugs, a 3’ tall fridge, microwave, full length mirror, and pine flooring. There is also a long counter with a nice Koehler sink and lots of kitchen drawers. The shower and toilet are separate. The shower is nicely done with relatively new tile. There are lots of hooks for bathing suits and towels. There is a bathroom window.

The room is painted dove grey and beachy art adorns the walls.

Outside, there are metal tables and chairs for each room. Down a short flight of stairs outside, there is an outdoor kitchenette, with a do-it-yourself coffee machine (several actually), a sink, a toaster, a cutting board, a drying rack, mugs, and utensils. There are more outdoor tables nearby. Down from that, there are some outdoor sofas. There’s also a small closet outside for guests with beach toys and chairs.

Everything in the room is clean and in excellent condition. I would totally stay here again in the future!

No breakfast included, but there are cafes walking distance and a Shaw’s 3 miles away.

One night at this establishment but wishing it would be one more. Had a friendly and lovely stay. Great check in and a great room. Nothing over the top but just well thought of and contemporary enough with comfy beds! Overlooks the beach and seaside which is less than a minute away. Free coffee and tea facilities are a nice touch to be able to wake up in the morning and get a fresh cup of coffee from the reception. Free onsite parking is great as well. Close to all Rockport locations and an easy 5 min stroll to the center of town.
Would recommend and return. Thanks for the stay.

Our room was small but recently redecorated and very comfortable. Excellent heat control. Mini-fridge in room. A block from the water and easy walk to shops. The manager was not on site for our early evening arrival, but left a note & it worked out fine. Very restful & pleasant stay.

We stayed at the Eagle House by the beach. It was clean, comfortable and quiet. It was near my cousins house so it was very convenient for us. We went off season so cost was fair, and it was quite a few dollars cheaper that a hotel a few doors away. We had a good experience. I would go again, if the price was right.

Eagle house has good and bad points.

Good: Awesome location right in town by beach. Easy parking. Very clean room.

Bad: It took 45 minutes to get checked in because of how long it took the party in front of us. Everything about this place is a rule. No sand. No noise. No after no after no. You feel like a delinquent child. As you can see from the photos, some cosmetic but glaring maintenance issues. Room doesn’t get dark due to non room darkening blinds, so once the sun is up, so are you. Bed was just ok with an older mattress with a new foam topper. Pillow felt like a folded up towel, very thin, not fluffy at all. Only enough hot water for one shower in a row. Walls very thin so enjoy your neighbors’ conversations. No food options, no shop. If you forgot something you are stuck.

Rockport can be tough place to find good lodging. This is a great location. And it was clean. But I probably would keep looking for another option.

Thanks for the feedback and sorry that it took 45 minutes to check in. That is not normal. Check in is usually under 10 minutes and can be less if the guest is familiar with rockport and doesn't need help with finding restaurants and points of interest.

Rules are rules and we have some that I emphasize , one is no noise after 10 pm because the buildings are old and not sound proofed and because we are in a neighborhood and I do not want my guests disturbing the neighbors.

We are a nice simple, clean motel in a great location. If you want to experience Rockport in it's oldest historic neighborhood and walk to everything and are willing to give up a few amenities than the eagle house is a good choice for you.
