We visited for a late lunch and sat on the veranda watching the world go by - and there is plenty to watch in Provincetown.
The food was good, service good and surroundings very nice.
We had the cheese grilled lobster and the smoked fish pate - both great and huge portions!

Been Going to PTOWN for many, many, many years... I for some reason always avoided going to this restaurant, probably because I thought it was too commercial or a tourist trap..boy was I wrong.. this place was spot on.. great menu, quality of food was excellent, service was attentive, and the outdoor patio was great for people watching.. love the whole package..

The food and drinks are great but it is on the expensive side staff was friendly and we could pick a table in or outside the sun.

Since it was our last night in this wonderful town; we thought we go grab a great dinner. We decided to go to JD's; but unfortunately many of the restaurants were closed for their "Employee Appreciation Day". So we decided to go to Patio.

We had Ceviche & Fired Calamari for appetizers; followed up with Lobster Risotto & Lobster Alfredo. Both loved our meal. My husband had a little too much for lunch at our place & it was a little too much-but he made it through.

We visited this place last year on our first night in town.

Service was good; you can tell that the staff is nearing the end--season is almost over.

If you're in the mood for a great place-this is it!

We went to the Patio on three nights for dinner over our long September 2017 weekend. First the good: This restaurant is dog-friendly, and two of the three waiters were wonderful to our pooch. The two good waiters provided excellent service and generally the food was good. We'd recommend the clam chowder, fried calamari and the Portuguese seafood stew. Delicious!

So why only four stars? The third night we arrived we were taken to a table in the far left back corner of the outdoor seating area, and there was a distinct smell of sewage. We asked for a table away from the source of the smell, and the maître d' gave us attitude and spouted some nonsense about seating both sides of the patio evenly. Only when we turned to leave were we given a booth on the other side of the open area, away from the source of the unpleasant odor. The waiter was also curt and indifferent. It's too bad really. the first two visits were so good, and the third visit was on a quiet night with light patronage, so it would be hard to explain the attitude by referencing overcrowding of the place.

All things considered? We'd go back, but would be prepared to stand our ground if we were offered seating in stinky corners.......
