We had been working on some family history research in the wonderful library at the nearby Mayflower Society, but felt the need for a late lunch. Blue Blinds Bakery is only a short walk up the street and located in a lovely old house, so we went to investigate.
The bakery was warm and welcoming, on a cold mid-November day. Sadly, I cannot remember what my wife ordered, but I had some soup and the Reuben sandwich, on a sourdough bread I think.
The seating area was certainly crowded but not uncomfortably so, and not unpleasantly loud. There seemed to be a group of happy people patronising this bakery – clearly many were regulars – and it set the mood for our lunch.
We would have no hesitation recommending a meal or snack at the Blue Blinds Bakery, and as we are tentatively planning to be back in Southern Massachusetts in the latter half of 2018, we will certainly be back as well.
