We decided to try Shiro-Pittsfield, Parking is very tough to find at this location because it is in the heart of Downtown Pittsfield, and as the weather was very frigid, we didn't want to park to far away especially with little kids. So parking can tend to be an issue especially since they are across the street from the Cinema and other business venues. When we arrived to the hostess area Waitress asked how many people and pointed to be seated at the corner table which didn't make it feel to welcomed at first, As we were trying to get situated at the table with our two little kids, we had to ask the waitress from across the room if they had a booster or high chair our youngest one, waitress like "No we no have" so its was not very kid friendly since we would have to hold onto our youngest one (which is 13 months old) while trying to eat at the same time. The food was delicious but just a bit on the higher price end then I expected, considering that this Shiro location does not offer Hibachi service, Lounge area is nicely decorated, but if you are a person that tends to be claustrophobic as I can be at times, then this environment would not be suitable but luckily my wife and I and our two little kids were the only ones dining there for the most part of our dining experience. I would recommend this restaurant for couples or business people, not families.
