My husband and I decided to explore the Berkshires to celebrate our birthdays. We looked on line to find a romantic Inn. The Garden Gables stood out from all the rest. Our stay exceeded our expectations!
We want to go back in the summer and enjoy Tanglewood.
Bravo John and Peggy!

From the moment we arrived at the spectacular Garden Gables Inn we knew we were in for a treat. Greeted by the friendly and gracious Inn keepers, we were given a tour and offered mouth watering chocolate chip cookies. My wife’s favorite! The inn has two spectacular rooms with large fireplaces that made for a great place to read and relax. During the day we took a tour of the winery and sampled the choice wines by the owner. I highly recommend trying the hard cider (top notch). The picture below was the whole family at the wine tasting. During our stay we went to two great restaurants (The Red Lion Inn and the Dream Away) while polar opposites as far as ambiance, both were memorable and delicious. Getting back to the Inn, the town is within walking distance, the only problem is that the rooms are the type you never want to leave. The breakfast provided by the Inn is rich and tasty and motivates you to just barely make it to one of the couches by the fire and curl up. My Ipad was quick at work downloading new books to enjoy using the free wi-fi found all over the property. All in all, one of the best Inn’s I have stayed in, we will be back!

We gathered our far-flung family at the Garden Gables Inn for Thanksgiving and found a warm home away from home. Our hosts, Peggy and John, made us feel like family and catered to our every whim. The Inn combines the temporal depth of a historic landmark with unbelievable comfort and luxury, from the sherry room to the sumptuous breakfast, the regal beds, and the homemade cookies. The thanksgiving feast at the close- by Red Lion Inn made for a memorable holiday. Add Peggy and John to our list of favorite people in the world. Top honors for the Garden Gables Inn!

Garden Gables is a beautiful historic home situated on grounds within easy walking distance of the shops and restaurants in the pictureesque town of Lenox. We enjoyed a wonderful room complete with sitting area, fireplace, king sized bed, flat screen TV with DVD player, balcony and a bathroom with a jacuzzi. The innkeepers, Peggy and John, are very welcoming and try to accommodate your every wish. There were lots of fires in the fireiplaces of the beautifully furnished but comfortable common areas. Breakfeast included fresh squeezed orange juice, eggs and omlettes, pancakes and french toast from a menu as well as a buffet with cereals, fruit and meat. All in all a great place to relax with many interesting attractions nearby.

As soon as walked into this B & B we felt at home. Everyone was very welcoming and helpful. You feel like you are staying at a friend's house. The food was wonderful too. Enjoyed having a romantic fireplace in our room too.
