The inn is lovely and the hosts are very friendly. Breakfast was delicious and they will easily accomodate special dietary requests. They also have a yummy sweet snack in the afternoon that is freshly baked. I would stay there again but not in room 10. Although a little less expensive, it is small and the bed is very close to the ground and the mattress is hard and the shower is small for taller people.

Thank you for your review, glad you enjoyed your stay with us, if not so much the room. You are right we put a low-profile bed in this room with a memory foam mattress, not everyone's cup of tea, but we have other choices. If you are reading this and have questions about the beds, please call the Inn for details we're happy to answer any and all questions.

This was our first time at the Birchwood Inn, and it won't be our last. We were in Lenox for three nights of theatre and symphony (Tanglewood). This is the way an inn ought to be -- with owner/hosts are are truly hospitable, and clearly enjoy what they are doing. Our room (Dewey) on the second floor was spacious with a great bed, the common areas on the first floor are lovely and perfect for reading and relaxing (including the front porch!), and the breakfasts are really superb! The inn is an easy walk from town, and just across the street from great hikes in Kennedy Park. What's not to like?

Room Tip: Dana and Dewey are apparently the largest rooms, but all of the rooms looked very nice.

This was our second visit to Lenox and Tanglewood and we decided to stay at Birchwood Inn. Tom and Debbie greeted us and Tom asked if we would like an upgrade to the Dana room at no additional cost (reasons too long to add here) and we said yes. It was huge, beautiful and comfortable. Breakfast in the morning was also delicious. We will definitely stay here again nest time we are in Lenox.

My husband and I have been coming to the Berkshires for 20 years. The Birchwood Inn is by far our favorite place to stay. Tom and Debbie are warm, gracious and welcoming. They go out of their way to make their guests comfortable and happy. The rooms are lovely, the service is wonderful, the food is delicious and the inn is beautiful. The Birchwood is ideally situated. It is located near the center of town and is within walking distance of Tanglewood and Shakespeare and Company. We will be coming back for years to come!

Debbi and Tom gift each guest with a royal welcome to their magnificent and authentic bed & breakfast in Lenox - part of the beautiful Berkshires. Debbi who hails from the English countryside is a fabulous hostess, cook and baker. She is delightful and sincere and her home which feels like a cross between an English and Georgian feel exudes her warmth from the walls inside to the outside porch and garden. Tom who originally hails from St. Louis Missouri is warm and friendly and has a wonderful rapport with each and every guest he encounters. With fabulous recommendations and patience, Tom takes the time to talk about anything and everything to do with making you feel at home. His tour is wonderful and proves that you can experience the finer things in life simplistically. The breakfast menu both surprising and luxurious was both unexpected and simply thrilling. Debbi and Tom have a very special lady who cooks with Debbi in the morning and is extremely talented. Could Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have eaten anything finer on their honeymoon? I doubt it. Debbie and Tom crown every guest with a breakfast that would be fit for the newly wed Duke and Duchess of Sussex! The rooms are spotlessly clean and detailed with care and a sincere interest, creating an area of perfection by their housekeeper who is also extremely genuine and a beautiful person, not to mention extremely detailed.

We look forward to visiting Debbie and Tom again in the not so distant future and when we departed from their home, we felt like we were leaving a special pair of friends that we had somehow known for years.... Thank you Debbi and Tom for a rare and wonderful experience in your home the beautiful ‘Birchwood Inn’!

Room Tip: Every room is special and fabulous!

Oh my goodness, you took our breath away with this review. Firstly I want to thank you for recognizing our staff. We couldn't do this without Karen and Brenda who put their hearts and souls into their work here at the Inn. Secondly, if you run into Harry and Meghan, be sure to send them our way. Thanks again!
