“Great location, cheap Fall rates”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 26 October 2011

My husband and I traveled to Hyannis for the first time in October 2010. This was the best place to stay at! It's nothing fancy - regular rooms, similar to a motel but much nicer. It's in a great spot - accross and close to great restaurants and the ocean is just down the road.

Go in the fall and rates are super cheap!! We loved it.

We made a reservation with this property as we were driving in from the Berkshires (a very long drive) on their website. When we finally arrived (no one at the property knew driving directions to the property), we were given a room that was totally unacceptable. The minute we opened the door the smeel hit us. It was horribly mildewed and uninhabitable. The beds looked atrocious, but we didn't stay to find out. We found another hotel in the area and checked in there. When we returned our keys we were told that there would be no refund of our money as we had booked through Hotels.com ( simply NOT true)! We immediately contacted our bankand made a claim on the payment of one nights stay, but were very disappointed that the front desk personnel offered no refund and were most indignant. The women behind the counter never even looked up. She just begrudgingly wrote a receipt for our one nights stay (which we never used) and said nothing. I contacted their accounting department, but have yet to hear anything about a refund! I would never recommend this property to anyone, least of all to someone with any health issues. Don't even think about it!

This hotel could easily be used for an old movie. The veranda in front of the rooms gives some noise when people are passing by with their suitcases on wheels, but the atmosphere is quite romantic. At the lobby I overheard a young couple booking their honeymoon in this hotel. The bathroom has no space to put your toiletries.
The staff was very helpful, especially Virginia, after our car accident. The hotel rooms are facing the harbor, 100 meters away and a breakfast café is next-door. The Black Cat is a good restaurant, with live music in the bar. There is an indoor and outdoor pool.
We left on 24 October and the hotel is closed now till spring 2012.
Free WIFI available plus two computers in the lobby, plus printer for your on-line airplane check-in.

Room Tip: Avoid a corner room next to the stairs like room 107, too noisy. The best rooms are the ones that ar...

We took a family vacation in Aug. to the Cape. There were mixed reviews about this place, but I decided to book it anyway because the pictures looked nice and the pricing was reasonable. It's called a "hotel" but is actually more of a motel, which was fine. The lobby and outdoor common areas are quite nice, and the staff were pleasant and very helpful. I asked for a corner room because we had a 7 week old at the time and didn't want to disturb anyone - it was a nice, quiet room. The room was clean, bright and spacious... my only minor complaint was that the bathroom is a little small and there really isn't space to put your toiletries. Our room was on the second floor and there is no elevator, but we didn't mind. The location couldn't have been better!! It's RIGHT across from the harbor, which makes it SO easy to hop the ferry to Martha's Vineyard (beautiful and the bus tour was very interesting/informative) or Nantucket, AND (if you have young children) the Pirate Aventures, which we did and had a great time. :o) Plenty of delicious restuarants, including "Oceans" right next door. The beach is a 5 min drive down the street, and so many other things to see and do within a ten min drive. We thoroughly enjoyed our vacation, and we felt the Hyannis Harbor Hotel was, overall, a worthy place to stay.

Room Tip: We had the option to look at two rooms - one up and one down - because of the lack of elevator and w...

A couple of girlsfriends and I stayed here and we just had the best time. The hotel was bright, and clean and had great amenities. We were in walking distance to restaurants (the Black Cat was very good)and shopping on Main St. The next morning we walked across the street and got on the ferry to M.V. I can't wait to go back.
