After a last minute change in plans, Tripadvisor steered me toward the very reasonably priced (and highly rated) Green Mountain Inn. Thank you very much! My daughter & I both smiled when we pulled into the gravel driveway of a quaint Victorian home with a beautifully landscaped yard. I practically hugged the host when he offered to carry our 100 pound bags up the narrow flight of stairs to our room.

Green Mountain Inn was built in 1853, for a local ship captain and is now a restored inn with several cozy rooms (most with private baths). It's ideally located between Hyannis' Main Street, which is lined with boutique stores and restaurants, and the beach. Nick, our savior, is one of the most gracious hosts I have encountered in the past decade of travel. He will serve you up a hearty breakfast and some great recommendations of things to see in Cape Cod.

In October 2011, my friend and I spent a long weekend at the Green Mountain Inn with our hosts Mike & Heidi Godin, and Nick Hemingway. The accommodations are superior, the owners are friendly and the food was fantastic!! What a great place. Ralph and I are looking forward to our return not only for the Inn, but for Mike, Heidi and Nick. They made the stay even more enjoyable.

We couldn`t have rated our experience here any better, and highly recommend Green
Mountain Inn as a brilliant place to spend time on the Cape. From the moment we arrived and were greeted by a very helpful and enthusiastic Nick, to the wonderfully clean and cosy room with private bathroom and all the facilities we could want, to the incredible breakfasts (a different delight awaited every morning) made by Mike, this place is absolutely faultless. Nick was so helpful with suggestions of how to make the most of our time and money, and his directions and markings on the maps he provided were brilliant. The deck was a lovely place to relax first thing in the morning and chat with the other guests and play with Duke the dog. Weve rated this place excellent, but wed give it a higher rating if we could. Thanks to Nick and Mike for making our holiday at the Cape just perfect. Thanks.... A couple of very thankful and grateful Aussies (Wendy & Vince)

As soon as we pulled into the car park Nick was waiting to greet us and knew exactly who we were - a lovely welcome. Our room was on the ground floor and was a nice size and very bright. He showed us around the property and gardens and then went through a map of the area and asked us what we were planning on doing while we were there so he could help us plan our days. For all of our day trips he gave us detailed directions on how to get there, where to park and usually had some money off coupons to go with it! The breakfasts were fantastic with a different option every day and when they discovered I didn't like something I had my own special option! The room was kept clean and the gardens were superbly maintained. Sitting on the deck in the evenings was nice to do after being out for dinner. The location is fantastic with a small beach a couple of minutes walk away and Main Street about 10 minutes walk. Hyannis was the perfect location to explore the Cape and we can't wait to go back!

This was our second stay at the green mountain Inn, but it feels like we have been coming here forever.
If you enjoy having fun and interacting with other guests, then this is the place for you and if you don't then you should also come here because you might discover that having fun is good for your soul. We even managed to have a good time on the day Irene visited !
Mike and Nick are fantastic hosts who go that extra mile to make sure you have everything you need to have a good time.
The Breakfast as usual were excellent and we managed to put on the 7lbs in weight which us Brits are supposed to on trip the the states, not that we hold Nick & Mike responsible for every ounce of this.
Many thanks to the Green Mountain Guys…hope to be back next year
