Pleasantly surprised! We were looking for a place to go and the other Gloucester Beaches were packed (not to mention the others are $25 to park) This little Gem has a nice little covelike beach cut into a rocky shoreline. Great place for the kids to explore, climb, dig, swim, play frisbee, wiffle, whatever!!
Public bathrooms, you can see your kids in the water from any where on the beach, and there are 2 lifeguards. All this for $10 to park. I do recommend water shoes...

There is just a tiny sand beach here, which was shaded in the afternoon when we were there. Still, the kids had fun there. There was just a muddy open air shower to wash off on. There are also public bathrooms nearby.

There are also some huge rocks to climb over, with stone staircases in them. There were even benches to sit on among some of these huge rocks.

The park is mostly open spaces fine for a picnic. But I did like the rocks.

Stage Fort Park is a tiny park on the ocean. It isn't a groomed park with flowers everywhere but rather a small strip of beach with boulders to climb on and rocks to explore with a few picnic tables scattered about under the trees. Further up is a visitors center and a nice playground for small children that looked very popular. There is a snack bar but we didn't eat there. It is a nice park for the kids to run off their energy. My girls are used to beaches with only sand so a rocky beach was very novel and screamed out at them to be explored. We easily spent an hour here after visiting Hammond Castle.
