Good Harbor is the most beautiful beach in Massachusetts if not in all of New England. In the height of the summer season especially on weekends parking is limited for non-residents...but there is parking at nearby Stage Fort Park with a shuttle to the beach! At low tide you can walk out to the island and the "creek" side is ideal if you have young kids.

Loved this beach. Beautiful views of gorgeous houses along the shoreline. You can walk out quite a ways before hitting deep water. Plenty of parking is available.

This is one of my favorite spots in the Cape Ann region. This beach is gorgeous and perfect for families/couples/friends, anyone! The rocky island off the shore just adds to the beauty and the length of the beach is perfect for taking a stroll or looking for shells with your kids/friends. Good Harbor is also gorgeous any time of year!

The beach was nice and had public facilities. It isn't a walking beach. Mostly just for swimmers or surfing. The neighbors whose houses line the beach are not friendly to tourists. There are a number of signs telling people to keep off their rocks or that you can't walk on the beach in front of their homes.

We enjoyed walking up and down the beach. It was off season but got to see some surfers and sailboards. Met some nice people to chat with. Nice beach and across from our motel. Plan on returning same time next year.

The older I get the more I appreciate the beach and being able to go down to the water, no matter the season and just take it all in. This is my favorite non-summer beach. I love it in every other season when it's not crowded and you can take your dog and just have a nice walk. It's always lovely for photos too. I usually avoid it in the summer or go in the evening. In the off season, there is plenty of parking along the street. The lot is usually closed. You can really have a nice stroll, never crowded, and it's actually great for socializing your dog as you're bound to run into other dog owners.

Beautiful beach for a not too long walk at the end of the day. Have to watch out for occasional broken glass (not beach glass).

Great beach if you can get a parking space, fills up early. Facilities including a snack shop. Island swimming area to the left at low tide.

I visited Gloucester, MA, on vacation earlier this month. I went to good harbor beach and the water was so clean and clear. There are also some good sized waves

Unless you’re staying within walking distance, access to the beach is restricted to a paid parking lot at the rate of $25 on weekdays / $30 on weekends. Apparently the lots fill to capacity quickly too. As a recent visitor to the area who really only wanted to spend an hour or so walking on the beach, the only option we could find was a drive by, which included the lousy feeling of being stuck traffic. Disappointing.
