This restaurant was started by the man who also runs Prezza in Boston's North End. This is not your old-school spaghetti and meatballs Italian food, but an innovative take on what it describes as coastal Italian seafood. The name is Italian for tuna, and the grilled tuna was the best tuna steak I've ever had. It was perfectly cooked, tender and tasty. One of my companions is a vegetarian and asked the chef to make her a vegetarian pasta. She got a bountiful dish with assorted vegetables in a sauce of olive oil, garlic and wine. My other companion had the tagliatelle bolognese and raved about it. Oysters to start and a side of escarole for the table rounded out the meal. Even the coffee was delicious. On top of all that, the service was impeccable. All around, a great dinner. One note: It is a bit pricey, with entrees in the $25 to $35 range, while pasta dishes are available for closer to $20.
