My husband and I just loved the squash soup and had it whenever we ate at Panera's until the fall season finally ended for the restaurant and so did the soup. It was so popular that I think they could serve it all year round. Too bad. We, and lots of others miss it too. So we just have to be satisfied with really good salads and sandwiches. Plus the pastry choices that are all so delicious. The cashiers do a great job when the restaurant is very busy at lunch time, and the staff are friendly, helpful, and quick to take your dirty plates or bowls away when you are done eating and they happen to walk by. I live near a Starbucks, and when I go in there for coffee and look at the pathetic looking pastries and breakfast sandwiches on display I want to tell the managers that they should take a look at Panera's offerings and think about the huge difference.
