We are from MA and wanted a little getaway. First time here. Very quiet although it must have been time of the year. A couple of great restaurants within walking distance. Water view was perfect to wake up to in the morning and watch at sunset. The breakfast was so wonderful and abundant that I couldnt eat again until 8pm. Complimentary snacks, water, soda, fruit.

Room Tip: 1st floor corner - Chappaquoit?

This is a wonderful inn. The location is great, with gorgeous views of the water and close to beach areas. It's comfortably elegant, non-fussy and classy. We enjoyed relaxing in front of the fireplace each evening during the cold late March evenings, the homemade biscotti, etc. What really stands out about this inn is the attention to detail and the effort to think of everything that might make the guest comfortable. There were the essentials for comfort (great bed & pillows, fluffy towels, ironing board, flatscreen TV, places to put things, etc.), but it was the little extra touches everywhere, reflecting the warm and hospitable host, that made such a difference. We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely return.

I found The Inn on the Sound online and booked it strictly from their web site. I did not do detailed research. This place is outstanding - I got lucky!!! I needed a room quickly hence I did not look far; wanted to find a B&B in town. If you are looking you need not look further.

The inn is immaculate! By the third day of my stay, I was searching for signs of wear & tear, a scuff on the wall or dirt in the corners - there was NONE! Every creature comfort was within reach, the inn keepers were delightful & extremely helpful. Snacks were out 24/7 with a refrigerator full of water & soda for the guests to help themselves, every night there was a perfect fire burning in the front room. The inn itself is very quiet, no noise from other guests when I was in my room. The food was gournet with vegetarian choices every day.

My new place to park in Falmouth MA is the Inn at the Sound ... many, many thanks to Jan & Neil for making this one of the nicest trips I have had in a long time.

This is a fantastic Bed and Breakfast, with the most amazing views of the Sound, overlooking Martha's Vineyard. The location is great, and the accommodations were top notch. Jan and Howard are wonderful hosts, with lots of information about the area, including restaurants ( the good ones and where to avoid), sightseeing diversions and how to get around on the Cape. We stayed for 4 nights, in a 2nd floor room overlooking the Sound, and it was glorious! When we are out this way again, this is where we will be staying! Thank you for your outstanding hospitality, Jan and Howard. Keep up the good work!

Room Tip: Select 2nd floor, with a view overlooking the Sound
