Had the most beautiful room, and truly enjoyed being in this first class resort.
The weather was terrible, but having cookies and hot cider by the fireplace warmed us up and brightened our day. When we checked out, I forgot my hair dryer in the room and didn't realize it until the front desk called to let me know, and immediately mailed it back to me. The service, the room, the staff...all excellent.

We were looking for the perfect getaway for our 25th Anniversary celebration with our family and the Winnetu didn't disappoint. Everything from the beautiful grounds, the proximity to the beach and to the town to the outstanding staff that made us feel welcome, this is indeed a very special spot.

Our cottage suite was spacious and clean; well equipped with a full kitchen and even a gas grill outside. Beach chairs and pool towels are provided making it one less thing for parents to have to pack! The shuttle provided is so convenient, taking us to and from the ferry and back and forth into town. For the kids, the activities center was perfect with lots for them to do and even S'Mores by the fire one night. They have lots of games and movies you can borrow and a beautiful new heated pool and hot tub. The staff went out of their way to make the us all feel special and welcome.

This was a great getaway with something special to offer everyone! We look forward to a return visit in the future.

This hotel was very peaceful and relaxing. All the employees of the hotel were extremely accommodating. Our suite was clean and very comfortable. We were very happy with the location. The shuttle the hotel provided was great for getting into and back from Edgartown. We loved that the hotel had quiet hours from 9 to 9. Parking at the hotel was easy and free.

My husband and I spent a few days here with our infant son. It is the perfect place for families. The room was spacious and very clean. The staff was amazing and the food is excellent. Our son really enjoyed the heated pool and it was only a short walk to South Beach. Will definitely be returning to the Winnetu!

My husband and I made our first visit to Winnetu in Martha’s Vineyard the weekend of September 22 for a wedding.
If there are two “take-aways “ from this review they would be that the Winnetu rooms and grounds are amazing, and that the staff is awesome.

From the moment of arrival Friday night until our departure on Sunday afternoon, we noted how relaxed and enjoyable Winnetu really was.
The grounds are amazingly beautiful and well maintained, the ocean, a five minute walk, the pool – just out the door.
Although we did not have young children with us, as our daughter and her friends are all in their 30’s – there was much to entertain children – the beach, the pool , the fire pits, the antique fire truck rides… and getting into Edgartown and back – so easy – hourly vans.

The Dunes food:
There is a buffet breakfast , which was good; but the salmon and beef served at the wedding reception was spectacular! You could cut the beef with a fork, and the Salmon was fresh and perfectly cooked, with amazing sauce.
Due to the reception Saturday night, box lunches could be ordered and we ate by the pool – excellent ! There are tables and chairs set up in a gazebo area; and a large Jacuzzi near the pool.

The Room – we had suite 210. A king size bed with a full bath- a kitchen area with full size fridge, microwave, dishwasher and coffees and teas- which lead into the sitting room with a full pullout couch, chairs and a balcony that easily accommodated 4 persons- and we had the most magnificent view of the fields and pond and South Beach.

The staff
This is where the Winnetu excels.
All of the staff was warm and friendly- from the bell man who took our luggage to the room- - to the bartenders and waiters at the Dunes- to the most amazing young woman who took care of our room ( it was spotless). But she went above and beyond when we were talking about the 5 bridesmaids dresses that I was pressing, and without a pause, she said “ I will help you “. She was so sincere and kind.

We will be back.
