“Would do it again!”

We stayed two nights at the cottage at the end of April 2014.
Everything about this place was great! The hosts were approachable and friendly. The location of the place is perfect - close to the Fort Hill nature trail and the bike path. It is very green and quiet, with a lovely garden on the property, very relaxing. The cottage provides complete privacy as it stands separately from the main house and has its own entrance, which we appreciated a lot. We found it to be a bit more spacious than we first thought judging from the photos. The kitchen is fully equipped so we opted for preparing our own dinner rather than going to a restaurant (huge savings). Ask the hosts for suggestions of seafood markets. Lots of movie channels and a great massage chair!
For breakfast, the hosts provide plenty of food: juices, yogurts, fruits, eggs, and a loaf of wonderful homemade egg bread (and a jar of beach plum jam - yumm!). We liked this option for breakfast a lot - eat on your own time and pace.
This place seems to be a perfect option for a long stay - like a week or so. A real home away from home!
To conclude, we would definitely recommend this place and would come again!

“Home away from home”

We stayed at Crosswinds for the first week in June with out 6 month old son whilst we explored the Cape, and we couldn't have enjoyed our stay more. Ron and Andrea were brilliant hosts, friendly and approachable. They went out of their way to source a travel cot for our son, at no extra cost, before we arrived, and they even went and found us a clothes airer when they saw that we had hung his clothes out to dry on the garden furniture (we didn't have enough change for the dryers at the local laundrette!).

The cottage itself was perfect, just the right amount of space for us and very comfortable. My wife in particular enjoyed the massage chair. The homemade jam and bread for breakfast was delicious - unfortunately we ate it all in about two days. Location was good, and despite being next to the main highway there was absolutely no road noise audible from inside the cottage, and very little in the garden.

Location was good for exploring the Cape, pretty much everywhere can be reached in under an hour. Tip for other Brits, the local supermarket (just off the main roundabout south of the Crosswinds) stocks proper tea bags! Good sandwiches/packed lunches can be got from the Eastham Suprette or Box Lunch.

We really enjoyed our stay and will definitely be returning when our son is a bit older (and can wear the Cape Cod hoodie that Andrea gave us)!

“Great cape location”

Overall, this was a pretty nice place to stay, we were pleased. The owners were kind and accommodating. It is located at a great location for exploring Cape Cod. The owners are very "green" with solar paneling on the roof, and boxes for recycling (which we loved). One thing we did not like was the smell of the linens and towels, they smelled damp or musty, as if they had hung dry or were not dried completely before placed on the bed/shower bar. That was the only complaint we had, we did not like the blankets up by our faces. The room had lots of books and pamplets, other visitor notes about good places to eat and see. Very friendly and calm location, we biked 4 miles to the beaches. Fridge was stocked with fruits, bread, eggs, yogurts, homemade jam, perfect for a quick breakfast or snack, you clean your own dishes, sponge in the room was in need of replacement. Room has a coffee maker and a massage chair pad, they made the room very homey.
