“Clean and Accomodating”
Reviewed 17 September 2011

The first impression walking into the Nauset House Inn is feeling at home. Stepping through the front door welcomes you into a cozy living area. Sofas and chairs fill a room surrounded with books, magazines and art work to interest one's soul.
Cheese and wine are served before your evening plans commence. Some socialize in the living room while others sip on their wine in the garden.
All the rooms (and I have stayed in many at the Nauset House) are clean and bright.
Situated a walk away from the most beautiful Nauset Beach in Orleans, MA, a weekend or a week never seems to be enough.
Thanks to our most acomodating innkeepers, John and Cindy, our stay was most enjoyable.

Room Tip: All are special to me.

We have been going to Nauset House Inn for more than 15 years. Delicious breakfast, comfortable rooms, friendly staff always looking to help. Your home away from home on the Cape. Best in class.

If you want to be within walking distance to Nauset beach this is the place for you. Their omelets are the best, the plates were garnished with fresh flowers and herbs picked from their beautiful gardens. The breakfast table was set so beautifully with china, matching cloth napkins and place mates that I took pictures. I felt like I was in Italy. The brick floors and large fireplace in the breakfast area set a timeless feeling. John the owner was professional and personable. My room was only $99 a night but for that price you need to share a beautiful and spotless bathroom. For those travelers not on a budget you may have a very private room and bath in a separate wing of the main house for $160 per night. There was no air conditioning which was not necessary because my husband actually became cold in the evening and made me turn off the window fan. The rooms were decorated so cutely. We stayed in the Wild Strawberry room and the housekeepers did a great job in making the Nauset House Inn very clean. The living room is bright and cozy where they serve you wine and snacks for the evening. This was a good time to mingle with the other guests if you didn't catch them at the breakfast table that morning. My husband and I thank you for our wonderful experience at the Nauset House Inn. We felt like we were part of the family.

My daughter and I loved our stay at Nauset House Inn! The hospitality was warm and friendly, the food was delicious, the room was comfortable, and we met so many nice and interesting people. In addition, it is in a great location, ten minute walk to the beach, and the grounds around the Inn are beautiful! I whole-heartedly recommend Nauset House Inn. This was our second stay there.

My husband & I stayed here for 5 nights while attending the Cape Cod Institute. Since there were several other guests also attending the Institute, we had breakfast together in the morning. It was an amazing community-building experience. And the hosts were so hospitable and good about getting us all fed and out on time for class.

Breakfasts were amazing! My favorites were: bruschetta omelette, blueberry pancakes, homemade granola with yogurt and fresh fruit, scrambled eggs with fresh herbs and provolone, waffles with fresh fruit. And every day provided a different type of homemade muffin while the cooks were preparing our made-to-order breakfast!

Nauset House is very conveniently located! It's an easy walk to Nauset Beach and Orleans is just a short distance in the opposite direction. The Nauset House staff were extremely helpful with suggestions for restaurants, ice cream shops, whale watching, bike rentals, etc.

I've already told the hosts that we'll be back the next time we're on the Cape!
