Three of us visited for a standard fish and chips. This was in December and close to 7 PM (they close at 7:30). The greeting was friendly when we ordered at the counter. We got what we expected - good fish and chips.
Now, if you order fish and chips you get pieces of fish. If you order instead the haddock plate, you get what seems to be a fillet of fish one substantial piece - not the usual few smaller pieces. This single piece is the way to go. The fish was perfectly cooked. Double fries (instead of fries and onions) did not seem to be quite double, but the fries were perfectly cooked.
This is a good place for this kind of fried fish dinner.
