We were lucky enough to book two nights here very last minute for a weekend get-a-way with my 80 year old mother and my two teenage daughters. It was based completely on a recommendation by a friend who vacations here annually with his family and extended family. I'm glad we came. The resort is not a 5 star Ritz hotel - this is the cape remember and most places along the shore are older family owned places. This is an older property but its clean, comfortable and enjoyable. We rented a two bedroom suite - two small rooms-one with a queen the other with two twin beds - connected by a hallway and a recently renovated bathroom. There was a mini fridge and a hair dryer. Unfortunately no coffee maker which we could have used since the office does have free coffee but doesn't open until 8. Unfortunately we did have noisy people above us and the sound traveled through the old floors. The pool is lovely -clean and warm. The ocean was steps away through the small beach and the water was a bit churned up with seaweed - nice waves for the kids and boogie boards. The resort does have loads of chairs available, but just like any resort, folks get down to the beach early, put their stuff on the beach chairs and then disappear for most of the day (why do they do this??) There are units with small kitchens and there are also a couple grills in the common area for anyone to use. The people that stay here all seem to have "happy hour"on the courtyard with drinks and munchie food after a day on the beach. Next time we will do the same! We will be back for sure. Office staff are super nice as well, and very helpful.

This was our 3rd year there and we plan to go back every year. It’s the perfect place for a family vacation. The rooms are immaculate. The decor is perfect. The pool is awesome. The view is breathtaking. We even recommended to a friend who stayed last summer and loved it as well.

This is the perfect little beach hotel. The location is prime...you’re right in Dennis Port and can walk to several great spots (including the Wee Packet), and you have a great little private beach. The rooms are as expected for a beach hotel; nothing fancy but perfectly fine. Nice little pool and the added the bonus of gas grills to use (you can even barrow BBQ tools from the front desk). Staff is friendly. Overall, a very homey feel to the resort.

Three families come here every year for Memorial and Labor Day weekends, and we are always blessed by the stay. Great beachfront, owners consistently invert year after year, upgrading, improving, making sure guests have the best experience. Poor is kept clean (and heated), beach chairs available, every morning coffee and muffins or other breakfast sweets. Very conscientious hosts, good value!

Just back from our 5th summer vacation at The Colony Beach Motel! We started as a newly married couple who spent the entirety of our days lounging by the pool or sipping cocktails on the beach, all of which are just steps (as in less than 20) from our room. In this short time, we've welcomed twin girls (this was their 3rd summer visit) and a new baby girl this year who enjoyed her very first visit to the beach. Although some of our activities have changed over the years (we traded poolside cocktails for wagon rides & swimmies), this beachside establishment remains what we look forward to each year. Familiar faces (both employees and guests), a picture perfect location, and a place that we love to call "home" for 7 days every August. Colony Beach Motel and the surrounding area of Dennisport is quintessential Cape Cod!
