“Best on the cape!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 30 May 2012 via mobile

Sundae school is a cape cod tradition. Go there with family and friends after dinner to enjoy frozen treats in a myriad of delicious and sometimes unique flavors. The line inside is always long but moves faster than the outside line, which is typically shorter. The "penny candy" store is open seasonally and is fun to check out.

“The best ice cream parlors on the Cape”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 26 May 2012

There are many imitators... but only one Sundae School. All three locations are wonderful, but Dennisport has that special something.

“Old fashioned fun”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 16 May 2012

Sundae School is a great destination spot for ice cream and some old fashioned memories. The ice cream this serve up can be very unique. Point in fact, the "Pirate" ice cream (sorry, can't remember the second half to it's name!) - peanut butter ice cream with fudge swirls and chocolate dipped pretzels (they had me at chocolate dipped pretzels...). My husband ordered up a classic hot fudge sundae, and the handmade whipped cream was to die for. The sundaes and larger items, however, are pricey (starting at $5.99 for a regular sundae and going up from there), while the small cones start at $3.25. If you are lucky enough to grab a seat inside, there's plenty to look at from old fashioned signs, college penants (which I believe are where their staff attend school) and a player piano that will play you a tune for a quarter. But forewarned, this place gets extraordinarily busy, especially in the summer months. Be aware of kids in the parking lot and go slow! They are currently open only on weekends, which not a lot of people realize, so take advantage of the smaller crowds now. Enjoy!

Great flavors with fabulous hot fudge sauce! Decor was just like the old days. The servers were friendly and willing to let you sample. Would have gone every day if I could have!

“Best Ice Cream on Cape”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 8 May 2012

I am a local and a life long New Englander and I know and love ice cream!

I think Sundae School is the best on the Cape...I think I have tried them all! I live closer to Four Seas in Centerville, but we make the trek to Dennisport when we want to indulge.

The ice cream is flavorful, thick, and creamy.Sundaes are served with fresh whipped cream. Part of the allure is this place is so darn charming and vintage...penny candy, coin operated piano, marble topped tables. Add the ice cream servers who will impress you with their fantastic memory and it's a win all around.
