Made the Oyster our first reservation for our visit to Chatham. Good decision. We stayed around the corner so we could walk to the restaurant. It's a small building with a reasonably intimate dining room and bar area. We were seated at a small, candle lit table. Our waiter, who was excellent all night, took our order for Prosecco and explained the night's specials.
We began with classic Oysters Rockefeller (though every appetizer on their menu looked appealing) and got a perfect rendition.
Both of us ordered the Swordfish Piccatta, one of the night's specials. The swordfish, served over a polenta cake and swirled with the piccatta sauce, was superb. We both agreed it had been some time since we had a dish this good. Full and satiated we had to pass on dessert. Maybe next time. But what a great meal!
