Dear Guest,
This restaurant is a good restaurant that serves good dishes for acceptable prices - an that’s it.
We where told that this restaurant is the best seafood restaurant in town. This is hard to believe and hardly correct.
If you want a perfect and quiet dinner with your love one, go somewhere else.
The noise level is incredible high, from America ladies almost screaming to each others even at the same table..
But again, fair food for fair prices..
John/Denmark

Loved our dinner here! Waitress was very friendly and helped us choose our meals. We loved everything we ordered! Highly recommend. I can see why it is number 2. Oh and the drive in was just spectacular. We are enjoying our stay in Chatham.
We give the Impudent Oyster 2 thumbs up.

Thank srohn

The service was fantastic, and the food was good. We both really liked our main meals - Vietnamese Bouillabaisse and filet. Both were wonderful. The décor is a bit dated, and you must have a reservation. With that said, I would go back, as Chatham is also a really cute town and it was nice walking around after dinner.

The Oyster has been a part of Chatham for decades. The food has been consistently good for the 20 years that I have been going. Don't expect changes to the menu or 'daring' selections but do expect a high level of execution on the classics.

Called on a Sunday afternoon and were fortunate that there was a cancellation and we were able to snag a 5:45pm dinner reservation for that evening.

My husband and I had the clam chowder. It was thick, creamy and delicious.

For an entree, I had the Cod Almandine ~ North Atlantic cod filet baked with a lump crab and roasted garlic almond Ritz cracker crust served over a bed of mesclun greens with crumbled goat cheese (minus the goat cheese had feta instead), fresh peaches, strawberries and blueberries finished with mango butter and pineapple. What a delicious blend of flavors in this entree. I enjoyed it immensely.

My husband had Seafood Atlantis ~ Cape sea scallops, gulf shrimp and lobster sautéed with shallots, fresh herbs, white wine and garlic butter served over a crispy polenta wedge with lemon dressed arugula, baby heirloom tomatoes, pickled red onion and a half lobster tail, another amazing choice; he thought it was an excellent dish.

Entrees cost $30+ and were very well worth it.
