Very tasty local dishes! Great job with seafood, naturally. Try the cod -wonderful! And don't neglect the scallops...

Wife and I have driven past this place for years, but this was our first visit.

Wife’s first impression was that the wall paper was very old - VERY old. And it was, but that’s part of the charm of this very old Brewster eatery.

We were there on aSunday - a day when many good restaurants are either closed, or don’t open at noon. It wasn’t’ crowded, but we weren’t the only people there.

Wife wanted the daily special but held back because of her shellfish allergy. Instead, she had broiled scrod and pronounced it excellent. I had the special- baked haddock with seafood stuffing and lobster sauce. It was also very good.

The Brewster Inn subtitles itself as a chowder bar, so I had to try a cup. Excellent - possibly the best I’ve ever had. Seriously full of clams, and thick enough without too much flour.

Prices are reasonable.

Decent fare, and the place has a family feeling. It is apparently favored by the locals, and it was very busy even at a late hour for dinner. Very efficient and courteous service.

This place was ok. The food was pretty good but nothing memorable. The waitress couldn't even answer basic questions about the menu. Since chowder is in the name of the place you would think that their's was amazing. It wasn't....

We had this restaurant recommended and it did not disappoint. It was a nice stroll from our inn. There is a good selection on the menu and certain dishes come with a soup or salad in the price. The chowder is superb. I also particularly enjoyed a lobster ravioli one night. Too full to eat a dessert myself, the waitress was happy to bring an apple pie and two spoons so we could share. My husband left his credit card here and as we had mentioned where we were staying the waitress phoned and the inn keeper picked it up for us. We had not realised it was missing till there was a knock on the bedroom door! Both waitresses were excellent-friendly and efficient.
