The Baltimore/White Marsh Hampton Inn is a fine hotel. It's clean, the front desk staff was friendly, the breakfast spread was good (turkey sausage, yay!), and our room looked good. Here's the main problem: our room was across from a large area the staff and housekeeping went into and out of ALL NIGHT. We must have been awakened a dozen or more times by loud talking, door slamming, or both, and I don't think any of that noise came from the guests. The staff needs to be cognizant of the fact that guests are trying to sleep across the hall. The room in question was not labeled on the online reservation map--if it were, we would have chosen a different room and probably had a much better experience. Another problem: our king bed was very, very firm. It could have used a mattress topper or something. Without the absurd noise from the staff, we probably could have slept OK. But the combination of the mattress and all the noise combined to give everyone (including our daughter on the sofabed) a terrible night's sleep. Two more issues: the AC and heat both put out air that smelled moldy, and the exhaust fan in the bathroom didn't work. The breakfast spread in the morning was really good, and the staff manning it were great to interact with. Maybe if they had worked overnight, we could have managed a mediocre night of sleep.

Like others have said the location is excellent and the lobby is beautiful. The room was clean, bed was comfortable, TV worked great and breakfast nice. The only reason I didn't give an excellent rating is when you leave the lobby area it is not as updated as I would have liked. It is obviously a reno on an older property. Nothing major but older mildly unattractive items such as gaps in the exterior door, carpet, textured walls/ceilings, wall paper in the bathroom as compared to many of the newer prettier Hampton Inns I've stayed. Worth nothing this seems fairly typical from the other hotels in this class in this area. I would definitely stay here again if the price is right.

Another great Hampton stay! Convenient location, lots of nearby restaurants, friendly welcoming front desk staff, great room with comfy bed, very good selection at breakfast with efficient nice people keeping it stocked.

Stayed here while visiting colleges in Baltimore. Great location, lots of places to eat & shop, free parking, cookies upon arrival, complimentary breakfast & nice staff. Easy access to 95, would definitely recommend.

Good location next to restaurants and Mall. Easy access to 95. We just stay one night as we head to the light festival. Room were clean, staff were kind easy to talk to, help with all our request. I had a great stay
