I have dined at Bluestone with my children and friends on several occasions. Overall the food has been very well received by my family and friends. From my other reviews I have written about cross contamination and the importance of proper food preparation due to my sons anaphylactic shock he will experience if milk/dairy products are utilized in any of the ingredients or cooking methods. A+++ for Bluestone over 8 visits and they have gone out of their way to ensure my sons safety. Kudos!!!appetizers are very creative such as their signature " candied pecans, thick cut brown sugar, crisp lettuce wedge and a homemade dressing not two but three thumbs up. The flatbreads with toppings are average at best. However, the baked Brie with fig an apple chuntey, Winner!!!! Entrees; seafood above average however portions sizes on the Rockfish an seasonal seafood should be increase substantially. Meats very good choice cuts however they are precut during the day. Yikes! What if a customer wants a 16 or 20 oz prime rib slice however you are told 14 ounces is what we are serving. This has happened to me on several occaissons, I can watch my own diet, thank you, serve me what I want please!! Poultry dishes are generous portions as are the lamb ( when in season) and pasta dishes. Flavor profiles are excellent. I had a 12 ounce, wish 16 ounce coffe rubbed Ribeye, perfectly cooked Kudos to the Chef. It is rumored the owner tastes every dish prior to menu publication. Very nice hands on approach Unfortunately I do not partake in desserts. Service has been excellent 75% of the time here they are taking a vested interest in your meal satisfaction. The 25% equates to busy times where they just want to turn your table and really do not care about your meal, money time for flipping tables for the waitstaff. For the amount of money you pay you absolutely should not be rushed. Family of 4, no alcohol, appetizer, entree , 3 desserts easily $200 if you order the beef or seafood entrees. Wine list is excellent however very pricey. Try to go on half bottle nights during the week. When establishments have 1/2 price sales and they still make a significant profit, do not ever purchase wine if it is not discounted unless you have unlimited cash or showing off for a date!!
I would recommend Bluestone for family events or just date nights. High quality food, and usually excellent service
