Not much of a beach, very small area to set, and was pretty crowded, so we left. There is a very nice hiking trail though, so enjoy that.

We went there this weekend to look for some beach glass. We did find some but the beach was so crowded it was impossible to social distance. We had to park 1/4 mile away and then walk another 1/4 mile to get to the beach. People were having fun, but it was not my kind of beach. I would definitely try it again off season for beach glass though.

Great option for a beach day trip, less than an hour's drive away from DC.
Free access, which means more people than in Sandy Point State Park across the bay - walk to your left along the coast until you find a free spot.
If you hope to socially distance properly, this isn't likely to happen on a weekend - arrive early in the morning to avoid the crowds.
No showers, so prepare to carry the sand to your car.
