We were grateful to get last-minute accommodations when our B&B arrangements fell through. The café/restaurant area in the lobby emitted a faint but noticeable smoky smell that was not welcoming. We asked for a chemical-free room because of allergies and front desk staff assured us that they always use water-based cleaners and the room would be fine. Upon entering the room we noticed a sharp odor that made our eyes water. Opening the sliding door to air out the odor failed to help. We returned to the front desk and were assigned a different room but it had the same problem. We were offered a third try, but had had enough and decided to go elsewhere. Checking our credit card account online, we saw that the hotel had erroneously charged us for two nights instead of crediting us for the one night we had paid. It took a phone call and 10 days to correct. We do not recommend this hotel.More
